Oh god, the movies ended 11 years ago. Between the first and last movie it was "only" 10 years, so its already ended for a longer time than it run its course. It left its mark on the 2000's years, watching harry potter was an iconic part of that 10 year. I remember watching goblet of fire for the first time, and deathly hallows part 2 like it was yesterday. 15 years ago I read the last book, and it was phenomenal. We grew up with the actors. Iconic franchise.

I remember the tears of everyone in the theater... finally, the boys grew old and have their respective families, as normal people It was a very long 10 years trip with them, sharing hundreds of moments and emotions. This series ran parallel with my childhood. I remember in 1998 when I was 3 or 4 there was a bad hurricane and all the power was out. My twin brother and I were at home with our older sister who was 9. We were scared so she went to her a room and came back with harry potter and started reading it to us. We instantly forgot all about the storm. I still remember hoping the power wouldn't come back on until she finished reading the book to me. 2 years later the movie came out and we were so excited. Every other year throughout our childhood another book/movie came out all the way until I was 16/17. I saw every movie in theater and I remember feeling so much grief watching this scene. It felt like the final chapter of my childhood had come to an end. Ill read the books and watch these movies with my kids some day and tell them proudly how I was one of the first fans of this series and saw every film in theaters. Thank you Ms. Rowling for bringing this magic into my life. I feel so fortunate that I was able to grow up along side this magical series

Nowadays i have got complete series of harry potter and saw 5 episodes while two remaining but my curiosity and affection towards this film is the same as it was in my child hood... I am so grateful to have been a part of this franchise and legacy from beginning to end as it happened. I'm 31 years old now (born in 1991) and this entire series played such a huge role in my life (no pun intended). To the generations that came before mine, you had Halloween, Jaws, Friday The 13th, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, etc. For my generation? We had Harry Potter and it'll forever go down in history one of the greatest film franchises to ever be made. This doesn't happen all the time and I'm so glad this is ours.

I still recall the ending of the first movie. Gave me chills. But the chills I got from this ending are otherworldly. Its like a conclusion to all the mix of emotions I had from this magical universe. Like a last breath before you go. Now I didn't get the chance to experience the ending at the theatre. And it makes me even sadder but at the same time grateful to know other people feel as fortunate as me to have had the chance of living such a great magical childhood. Each moment deserved its own clapping. The audience didn't overdo it. I bet people were whipping tears too.

I got to see my first movie in person, it was the premiere day of the Half Blood Prince, and the 3rd day after primeire of Deathly Hallows P1, my family didnt have any money then. even less now, but mum took me and dad out that day, the lineup was from the ticket desk, out of the movie theatre, and around the parkinglot to the next building nearly a block away (for the HBP) even though I was late to the party, its one of my best memories to date, just being able to watch Harry Potter with my family on the day of premiere.
