This is Toyota Century Royal. One of Japanese official state cars.
@sealforvr13 жыл бұрын
Toyota Century Crown Royal, one of 5 ordered and 3 delivered. Only the Imperial family can own one. When dignitaries visit the palace they are offered a choice, Limousine or one of the carriages from the Imperial Mews. Ambassadors and civilians go for the carriage, usually a head of state's security will go for a limo unless they have their own, like the US and Russian presidents.

What make of car was the limo?

@azn7193 I have to disagree with you. Because of several points. Let's see: they're obviously both Head-of-State. Noone denies that. But whether we like it or not, the Emperors of Japan are the top of the hierarchy of that country. According to protocol, even a foreign head-of-state should make a simple bow (and because it's Japan, a bow is also culturally important) it would mean the foreign head-of-state at least had the interest of respecting protocol.

@sugba2sugbo Not even to bolster both countries diplomatic relations? When the President of the USA visited the UK, the Presidential couple made a simple bow with their heads to the British Queen and to her consort. Is it wrong? No! It's a sign of respect. Just like... hey, my country, personified by me, respects your head-of-state, and the USA wishes to keep strong diplomatic ties with the UK. The same thing happenned when Obama visited Japan.
@AvatarMarxon9014 жыл бұрын
@azn7193 That's why you see Obama making that bow. It's not a sign of weakness, of being less than the Emperors (because let's face it, the President of the USA has much more powers than the Emperors) but it's a sign of respect and a wish to improve both nations relations. Now imagine, Angela Merkl, German Chancellor, visiting the UK. We all know that Germany and the UK have great diplomatic ties nowadays. A slight bow with the head is all Angela Merkl should do to the Queen. It's common sense.

How dare this nobody, this nothing not curtsey to the Emperor and Empress of the second greatest nation in the world. Shameful,...just shameful.
@tcgarrido26 жыл бұрын
This nobody was the former President of the Philipines, Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, Yes, she should curtsey to the Emperor and Empress, a sign of respect. For your info, Gloria was hospital arrest due to corruption during her administration. When she was at the hospital, she had a neck brace, Duterte let her go, now she is healthy. Go figure.

@sugba2sugbo What would be wrong to do was if Obama and his wife made a complete bow to the Queen of the United Kingdom. That would be wrong and a sign of being a "subject" of Her Majesty. Those bows, only the British citizens, in a sing of respect for their Head-of-State, should do in her presence. The world has gone completly insane. Noone respects anything! If you want to walk around like Venezuela's President (with no education at all) be my guest. Obama is an example (in state visits).

I disagree with you. There is no only one protocol, every country have its own protocol. imagine the queen of England making bow to the emperor of Japan (is it right?) of course obama made this bow for he is se gentle person and he sow respect for Japanese people bat he is the head of American people and he has the right not to bow before emperor
