During lockdown WZ1 I bought some propper headphones and could literally tell my team where players were. Above, to the right, Left or behind or below.On a Serires S. I now play on Series X and have Steel series nova pro headphones and the audio for the game since Vanguard days has been horrific

Helpful video. Good to know that it’s possible. Could you do a more detailed walkthrough on how to implement this on ps5. Like what additional piece of equipment do I need to have to ensure these tunings are translated to my game…I use a wired Hyper X

I can give it a shot. Biggest issue: I don't have a PS5 so I'll need to do some research, but can definitely talk about how to accomplish it with external hardware.

any difference between using Dolby's EQ vs the eq of astro a40s /steelseries nova pro?

its all about adjustability. Dolby EQ is 10 band, but the bands are fixed (ie they always apply to the same frequency). Astro Mixamp is only 5 band, but it's fully adjustable, so you can really apply those settings where you want them. Steelseries I think is a fully adjustable 10 band.
