great review, will this drive AKG K712 pro & ATH-R70X cans? also what headphone cable you using @2:55
@gearupaaron6 күн бұрын
Thanks for watching, Bob! The cable belongs to a Thieaudio Hype 2, IIRC. And yes, those cans can be driven (supposedly the D1P has an impedance of up to 600 ohms). The Audio Technica should be right at the bottom end of the coverage.

Can I use the A5+ speakers with both the S8 sub and D1 dac connected at the same time?
@jac-w8x6 ай бұрын
How does D1P compare to Hip Dac 3? I've tried Hip Dac 3 and its has fairly wide stage, slightly warm and open upper mid. however, it lacks detail in upper mid frequency range.

Is there any different sound compared to Audioengine HD3 built in DAC? And also with Chord Mojo 2 if you have tested it?
@gearupaaron5 ай бұрын
Great questions! The DAC on the D1P is technically superior with higher bitrate. Also, I haven't reviewed the Mojo... If anyone wants to sponsor that purchase I'll be more than happy to review it, lol

@@gearupaaron thanks for your response. I found Mojo 2 brings a different sound signature to the speakers, with a neutral-warm but still analytical and fully musical sound signature.

Do you have to plug in the left and right optical cables? I'm trying to use something like this for my audio technicas so I can adjust the volume easier and obviously my pc doesn't have those. I haven't seen those since the Xbox 360 days

What's the power output? I can't find anything online about that.
@gearupaaron7 ай бұрын
The best I could find is 2.05-volt RMS (I know it's not wattage).

I dig your reviews, nipples and all...) I just got the Hifiman Arya Stealth, will this be a good choice for them?. After 3 days of listening, it needs something to elevate the sound to match what many reviews have call the endgame. My Anandas sound better, please let me know your thoughts on this, plus is there a better amp/dac combo that might be better for the Arya's. Thanks for your help.

Tons of small dac/amps and none with mic input. Why? Don't companies know thet there is a huge market for these WITH mic input?

No 4.4mm balanced output huh...😕 At least SPDIF and RCA... Fiio K11 would be a better choice for me...
