Hi dear friend Thank you for this video I learned a lot. It is very good to use an oscilloscope

Indeed, it is extremely hard to repair amplifiers without "guessing" what is wrong without a scope.

Thanks for the informative video, going from diode mode testing to ohms testing mode is quite an adjustment for me but I'll get there 🙂

Any day Tyrone. Find what works best for you. I honestly use the diode mode to quickly find shorts under 100 ohms.

@@ellensburgamplifier thanks for that but you let it look so easy maybe I'll get there with more practice 🙂

Good stuff. Thanks for sharing, how do you do load testing actual speaker or dummy resistors?
@ellensburgamplifier3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the great question Lewis. It is hard to explain but I will do my best. I have 5-gallon buckets with mineral oil that consists of 10 500w quartz/canthal loads with temperature monitoring. These are DIY oil-cooled loads. After much trial and error, this has come to be the best load banks I could build. The oil not only cools the coils but also prevents resistance drift in the canthal.

@@ellensburgamplifier What is a quartz/canthal component?
@ellensburgamplifier3 жыл бұрын
@@BobBasshead It's a quartz tube with a coil of canthal wire. I got them from a person who said they came with wind turbine inverters. One day I may put a page up on my website showing how this is all put together and how the quartz tubes move the oil as they heat up. Quite a clever setup. I still have to add an external radiator to be able to run it continuously.

Tengo el mismo modelo y está en protect ...conecte mal las salidas de alta calidad...
@ellensburgamplifier3 жыл бұрын
You will have to replace the shorted output transistors and double check that the pre-drive transistors are still ok. You may see a signal on the base pads of the output transistors when not installed.

Así es está en corto 2 MOSFET 1 impulsores...y 2 de potencia... Será necesario cambiar los MOSFET del otro canal q marcan resistencia de 300 ??
@ellensburgamplifier3 жыл бұрын
@@maykolquerubin5178 I would think so. 300 is too low I think. Find the one that has the lowest resistance and pull that one. Then re-check the others.
