I love audiopipe I use to run 2 bd4 15s at half ohm on skar 2k amp then switched to a single 15 at 1 ohm then switched to a skar audio 10 at 1 ohm. 😃🔊🥂⛽👍⚡🤙

I built a dual 6.5 box using bottom shelf pyles, wasnt nearly as bad as I thought. I recently replaced the Pyles with Audiopipes of equal spec and same price plus or minus a few bucks. The overall difference in quality is astounding! Ive read AP simply clones other brands designs. Whether or not thats true, they offer some competitive quality for dollar spent!

This subwoofer seems to be positioned in between the Savard HiQ and HO 12” subs. You should really look into the Savard subs Parker! I think you would be pleasantly surprised!

My first thoughts... let me know if any of you had the same.. looks like a sundown x.. wow AP has spent some money and added a magnetic boot.. well under the boot might be the same 4 or 5 stack magent lol.. nice they spray painted the basket black!!... why they put them same darn Allen terminals on this beauty.. those are just a few of my first impressions. But all jokes aside, looks like a great sub. Can't believe it only has 20 mm of x max one way though. That's disappointing

Wow, that 50hz Fs is pretty high. Is the suspension extra stiff? I suppose the Fs will come down after some play time but probably still be over 40hz.

The TS parameters are meant to be accurate after the sub has broken in. So brand new the Fs is probably around 60hz. Once it breaks in and softens up then it'll be 48hz

It's a dual 4ohm 12" so it's not that high. Also with these "generic" (I guess you can say) is their specs never seem to be correct (considering half the time they are the same between 2ohm and 4ohm and between the sizes as well)

An Fs of 48Hz is super high! I get that this is a result of very stiff spider & top-roll. And that this will lower quite a bit after a few months of heavy use. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but this is not the right choice of driver if you want to get low & windy. edit: Got to the part where you mentioned this. That it's not a Sundown X alternative.

This sub is exactly the same as a AP quad stack but with an extra slug added. It has shitty specs for being a supposed contender for being a demo sub, Jacob Fuller pointed that out immediately when the 5 stack came out.

I have the same watt meter and figured out a couple songs that it would be a lot easier to consistently get 1500 watts. Because the song you used on the test bench was all over the place you might have hit 1500 a few times.

You know parker, that is a pretty big sub .im sure they will sell a lot of them . The price isn't terrible for what you get . I've been a fan of audio pipe . I dont run them because i found a better deal back 2 years ago when i was shopping for more than one sub. Anywho, it could be a go-to in the future . There are two zvx-12v2's and a evil series or ddx.. and I have a different triple sealed enclosure in my jeep patriot and I put all precision power Phantom Series 12's it sounded good then I put a kicker crv on one side a ddx skar in the middle and kept one precision power 🔋 on the right side my thought process was it would cover all the different bass frequencies and it does sound way better than having all three of the same I just wired them up the same 2 ohm parallel

Parker my friend...please do not play subs free air as you did do to they do not do rated power in an open air scenario. When testing for perameters....they use 1 watt or 2.5 volts to measure the subs sensitivity only and or a 1/4 watts rms over time to electronically break in the the subs over a certain amount of time. Alway test them in an enclosure....it would be nice if you had an enclosure with a plexiglass window it you wanted to show the entire sub as it goes through its paces. Keep growing my friend and I do enjoy watching your reviews.

The Xmax spec looks wrong. I think it should be 20.5 mm one way. Or 41mm peak to peak. Then the X mechanical is 50mm. That sounds more realistic.

@JasonWW2000- 20.5 mm is 1 way, Linear. When stating peak to peak, this figure unless specified= mech. Peak to peak, not linear. Although it should have been listed as the Mech. Peak to peak. So if Audiopipe would have said the 2 way linear, then that spec would have been printed as 41 mm. So this BDX 12" has 9 mm of mech. Peak to peak clearance, or only 4.5 mm of 1 way clearance, which imo is not enough. As you could hear Parker bottom this sub out easily.

An FS of 48! Damn that's high, I don't see it playing down low as good as others but should be super punchy and play metal kick drum pretty insane. The wlldse HCY subs were like that they had an FS of like 41 out of the box and 38 broke in, I added mass and they went to 31 and they dig deeper with more authority now before they just kinda fell off down low but kick drum was a killer punch to your chest at that fast metal pace now there kinda in between they play down low and higher bass great.

Box design will make this play reasonably as low as 25-28 hz, depending on how your port, or horn is designed.

Well it will obviously help some but porting will boost the output at tuning but a stiff sub with a high FS will not have very good response or output down at those frequencies so it will just boost the not very good low frequency output, if that was the case FS wouldn't matter and it does. If you were to run that subs parameters on win isd or and box modeler you would see it drop like a rock down low regardless of tuning, also SQ suffers on a high FS sub because SQ is buttery lows you get with a soft suspension and a stiff suspension really fights excursion and low frequency response, that's why spl subs are very stiff SQ are really soft.

They are for "sound quality" arguably the best. SPL not so much. Do they get loud ? Hell yeah just not the crazy numbers other subs can do. But hey they'll sound 💯 better than most, just a couple of DB quieter. JLs don't like a lot of abuse/clipping.
