Thanks, very helpful! But something still doesn't make sense to me. If you put your volume automation adjustments on the pre-master channel (such as slightly bumping up a chorus, or fade-outs as another commenter asked) but then you feed that pre-master into your master bus, which has limiters, etc. inserted, won't those final volume leveling controls work against your volume automation and try to even things back out? It seems like you would want to have any master volume automation tweaks at the very end of the chain, after every processor. Your thoughts?

Very helpful. What if all my plugins are on insert A through E ... No plugins on my master fader .. should i still fade out the end of my song on a sub master? Thanks

Either way will work. 👍

Nice tips! Question! When bouncing to disk... should i add fade outs on the master fader? or create a sub master and add fade outs on the sub master that way it wont affect the settings on the plugins? Thank You.
@AudioSorcerer2 жыл бұрын
Do it on a sub master 👍

What's confusing about it?

@@AudioSorcerer the terms are confusing. People are watching your video to as learners, so the terms should be explained, I guess.

When bouncing a mix what's the final output stage? is it the master fader or the default output channels of the interface show n on your Pre Master Aux?
@AudioSorcerer14 күн бұрын
I believe the output channels.

Dude.. For someone who came here not even knowing how or why to create a master fader--this was way too complicated.
