i have downlaoded luna, however if i open the demosession on top of my screen it says "playback disabled" , i have to go to setings, but i can 't do anything that changes it, any one with same issue?

how come daws don't indicate the name of the sound/instrument in the piano roll during midi? we have to try every button to find the kick or splash?

Not bad to try a new one but It's like trying to look for life on other planets when we have a beautiful planet that we haven't even finished exploring. we already have protools, flstudio, logic, ableton, studio one, cubase. maybe one day other DAWS will evolve. but for now we still have a lot to do with our old DAWs.

Hi Zane and everyone , I had a problem in waveform free, you know waveform free don't have arpegiator , and i need a clip wav with ARP Luna so I decided create a bass line with ARP so I exported the midi bass shape instrument to file wave and when I open in waveform free like Audio obviously sound slow even when I use the same tempo in both daws , waveform free has given me several problems since I installed but the most strange is that other clips wav sounds fine in waveform free and the i create don't but sounds good in Bitwig, why Zane?

Is there an option for specifying the location of libraries for VSTs, or does Luna scan the whole computer? (I use a Dell windows laptop and it has two extra drives, one of which houses a majority of my VSTs)

What audio interface are you using and what driver type? There have been some interfaces that have had issues early on but UA have been doing updates to get rid of those issues. Make sure you’ve updated to the latest Luna version and that your audio interface drivers are up to date too.

Thanks - very informative. Would I need the Pro bundle, or will all my other plugins work ok? I understand Melodyne only appears as a tiny interface (not ARA?), is that still the case with the current version or have they fixed that now? Thanks!

Looked good originally, thought I would give it a try. Seems a real nightmare to get downloaded and installed from the website link. So many hoops to jump through, various licence agreements, different accounts to setup. UA connect etc. Can't get into the main programme interface, Just get a box showing LUNA some info about buying plugins and a dowload user manual pdf. Getting frustrated and fed up now. Is it really worth the agrovation. Now I know why you haven't shown us the installation process.

***ok. Ok. I should listen to video better!! I go find asio driver for Presonus 😅 Hardware device Luna doesn't see my Presonus AudioBox iTwo, just says ASIO and greyed out APOLLO. But sees midi clock output from Presonus. Any ideas why audio not showing up. Wont open Asio control either

Make sure you have a second audio card and set windows to use that. I think LUNA wants exclusive access to the audio interface and won’t play any sound otherwise. At least that solved it for me.

Great video 😉. I start and discover Luna who seems fine. For all the issues like crashes with certain VST3 plugins. I think UA will fix it in future updates, however the crashes can also be linked to the VST3 themselves. For me what is missing is MIDI routing for using MIDI processors, it seems that this is impossible, if anyone knows how to do it ?

if I record with a high buffer size like 2048 or 1024 the audio track sounds out of time... do you know why?

Those are really high buffer sizes. The higher the buffer the higher the latency. You want to get your buffer as low as your computer will allow. Ideally do all of your recording before you start adding plugins which will allow you to bring your buffer down. Then when you get into the mixing stage of your project, you can go back and increase the buffer again so you can start adding lots of plugins.

@@AudioTechTV I know very well the procedure you told me... with studio one I can record my bass even with a buffer of 2048 excluding the return and the recording is perfectly in time if I do the same with LUNA the recording and out of time and out of sync . I wanted to know if it's normal with Luna or if some settings are needed... I use a RME UCX2

I don’t think it discriminates between brands so it should work. How well it works all depends on the specs of the computer.

You can buy an audio interface from many different places. Amazon and Sweetwater are two places that are popular.

Have you installed the Asio driver for your audio interface? If not, do that. If there isn’t one then try the free Asio4all driver.

When you say you do the download. Are you talking about doing the download in UA Connect? If it’s not installing then try closing UA Connect and then launching it as administrator. It should install when it has administrator rights.

Not at the moment. I’m hoping they improve their midi tools in the future. But working in the piano roll actually felt like a step sequencer so it’s not terrible for sequencing drums.

I own an Arturia Keylab 49 essential and because Arturia tells me is a "controller" I can not listen from my computer. What should I get to replace it?

You can get any audio interface. You don’t need to replace the midi keyboard, you can still use it but you will want an audio interface to go with it. Which one you get depends on your needs. If you want to stick with Arturia then check out their Minifuse line. The Focusrite Scarlett series is very popular. Do some research on audio interfaces to see what might be best for you.

@@AudioTechTV hi no because is more than a Daw is base on uad real hardware and with the summing no one has done it to this level I was with protools since sound tools and I got Luna the first day that it came out during COVID I imported files from PT to Luna and instantly I heard the huge difference. So this is the first time that you can hear the neve the 1176 the LA 2 the Pultec that finally sounds real like it should be . Your video is awesome thank you 🙏

I tried it, works rly well shortcuts mostly same as in protools, but ich cant render my Projekt. Each time i try to rendern(mp3 or wav) Luna crashed. Even if i try to Bypass most of my plugins it still wont bounce. Do you heard of this Bug or maybe you have and solution?
