what's the best tho?
@kuro_vince61132 жыл бұрын
@@ThisIsWellMalik I would say: Cakewalk of you have Windows, cause it has a bunch of features and instrument, even tho it can be a bit complicated at first. Tracktion wafeform free if you don't have window, even tho it is limited on some features, it still has some good instruments. And Audacity if you only search for a software to sing, cause it has no place for instruments in it, but technically you could get every sound with a microphone. Hope that helped!

Hi, I have a question about Audicity, I notice in this video, there was a green level up on top. What version has that option? One of my issues with Audicity, is it didn't show how much audio was either low, too high, or just right,...(or maybe I never knew what to do). So how do I get that green level to show, or is it just a certain version? Thanks

Enjoying your videos. Clear, concise & unbiased. Speaking on some of the limitations here. Many of the old classic tunes that you love, in your own collection, were made with only 8 or less tracks. Many were made using only 3 available tracks! Also, everything is 'bounce-down-able', allowing you to reimport your stems, re-edit them, re-loop them, & continue to add / build your music projects! Cheers.

The layout and customizable options are just excellent, and the cakewalk provided vsts and 3rd party capabilities are awesome. I will say though, that if you're gonna pay for a daw I'd definitely recommend either Reaper or Studio one.

Folk have to understand that the free Cakewalk by Bandlab DAW was actually Cakewalk's (the previous company) flagship commercial DAW...Sonar Platinum, retailing for $600 (I purchased it for that price some years ago) !!! It was, and still is competing with the best commercial DAW's for Windows out there (crucially, the original programmers STILL updating it)...Cubase, Pro Tools etc. That Bandlab made the FULL version (including unlimited track count) of Sonar Platinum free is stunning. If you have Windows, it's a no-brainer. It has over 30 years of legacy, and almost limitless online resources.

It's simple to get around being limited to 5 tracks. Bounce the tracks to a Tascam 4-track which costs $100. Then bounce it back into your interface back into one track. I come from cassette 4-track, so bouncing tracks is 2nd nature to me, and doesn't scare me at all.
@AudioTechTV3 жыл бұрын
You can bounce the tracks within the daw so you don’t have to record to an external device. Before 64 bit software this was very common to do. I used to work with a tascam 8 track recorder. The software is much easier to use now.

I use ardour and I miss that in all those videos. You might argue, that you have to pay for it, but it's still Free and Open Source Software. And 1 buck for full version for a DAW is as much as "free".
@AudioTechTV3 жыл бұрын
I’ve included Ardour in past videos and I even pay for it myself. But compiling software isn’t for everyone when there are other free daws that you can use without needing to compile it.
