hightimes withseagore no it's just a generic bullshit record with overproduced clean vocals on it. Every seccond band sounds like them...Bands were good when they had unique style of music and not the best productions and recording studios...The seccond album from VOM was sick as hell and one of the best progressive records ever. i cant understand why everyone is loving the new record. Its just mainstream shit
@hightimeswithseagore5988 жыл бұрын
+Disturber93 well I do think veil of maya has earned all of this. I also think clean vocals add more range, but yes it does sound robotic in production.
@therealforestelf9 жыл бұрын
I can't believe everyone is bitching so hard about the new vocalist. Hey just look at it that way: the old VOM songs really stand out now, that was the grungy evil VOM with the sound of mister Brandon Butler, the man of a VOM era. Brandon did what he did in perfection. Epic lyrics. His growls and high-screams were amazing and absolutely unique in his style. I am glad I saw them live. BUT: (and this is where you should pay attention) we all live, we all age and we all change. It's just nuts to blame the band and tell them to get back to their old style of music. It's like breaking up with your girlfriend and having everyone telling you, you should get back together with her because you had a great time together. Life often does us apart but we should not be afraid of that. If there is anything we can learn from Brandon's lyrics here then it is the following: new paths will always open, and you should not live in the past. I'm very excited about the new VOM and I think the new vocalist enables the band to do completely new and different stuff, and I love it and it's great for me to see these guys evolve and have great fun with that. If you're not cool with that, that is okay, walk away. Listen to their old songs and have a blast. But quit bitching about the new vocalist. Dude's awesome and if you're not able to appreciate it, you should at least be able to tolerate it. That's just my humble opinion on that topic.

@malcolmcheng11048 жыл бұрын
It's because they don't need two guitarists.
@DingusMcBrungus8 жыл бұрын
Probably because they don't want to further divide tour income or go through the stress of training/integrating a new band member. It sucks though, they would sound much better with two guitarists live. Their music definitely calls for it
@illesttraitor46118 жыл бұрын
yeaa back when they had 2 guitarists on way older stuff they made some really interesting harmonies n such
@AusarisTV7 жыл бұрын
Azsuna not to mention the majority of their material is written with a singular guitar line in a rhythmic fashion with hardly any leads, pretty much no solos almost, and hardly any guitar harmonies. A second guitarist would only beef up their sound (which isn't a bad thing).

If onlynthe band would listen to Branden's ideas he really was the mind of veil of Maya I don't like the new vocalist they don't even have a real instrumental nothing like veil of Maya I'd cry of happiness if he was to come back because I miss him being in veil of Maya if bin supporting these guys since all things set aside once I heard that I knew these guys wouldn't let me down love every song till subject zero phoenix doesn't sound anything like veil and I just hate the lyrics I respect you all of veil of Maya but letting Branden go and getting another vocalist was a big dissapoinment but if Branden happens to get into another band I'll gladly support that band veil of Maya lost my attention goodbye veil of Maya
