Thank you for touching upon a very important topic. States like Maharashtra, Karnataka etc have clear & well-defined model bye-laws for co-operative societies which are made & enforced by the state government. It helps in clarity, certainty & uniformity. Unfortunately, Gujarat doesn't have such model bye-laws, which results in lot of legal ambiguity & confusion. Also, in Maharashtra, society management committee can face penalty, fine, prosecution etc for not conducting audit, but there are no such penal provisions in the state of Gujarat.

Sir hamara society handover ka process start hone wala hai. Hamari society me 5 buildings hai. Ham chahte hai ki sab building ka individual bank account ho. Society Cooperative housing society se registered hai. Please aap bataye ye kaise possible ke har ek building ka maintenance amount ke liye sab ka individual bank account kaise possible hai?

Hello Sir, In my society before 2 years members changed the committee because the first commitee is not working properly and they are not showing Audit to society members. After the new committee come into the action they are doing same thing they are not providing Audit since last 2 years and when we ask for Audit they are saying we didn't get any audit from old committee so we can't do fresh Audit. So in this case what action i can as a member if i want Audit of society because I don't know how they are spending money which they are collecting. Please reply

@BM InfoGuide .. Sir you are spreading wrong information. As per Model bye laws copy we have, Audit can be completed within period of 6 months from the date of completion of the financial year. ... Can you please check and confirm.

Helo sir I from Gujarat and have bought apprtment in registered housing society.seller had not paid transfer fees and share certificate was on old(1st)owner.after bought this from 2nd owner I contacted society to pay transfer fees to get name of mine on share certificate and to be member of society.But they say first I have to pay or clear transfer fees of 2nd seller then I have to pay for me as well.sir please advice for this issue
