This young lady was born to play trumpet. Maynard was born to play trumpet. Others have been very given to this intstrument and have not played a picture perfect and centered embouchure, were born to play this instrument. The music comes way ahead of a Hollywood portrait. This is about music, not appearances. Nuff said!

I know that your comment is old, but that is not triple tounging. Triple tounging isn't used in 2/4 time. It's used with triplets and multiples of, etc.

If you look after she removes the horn her embouchure isn't on the side. It's the angle of her teeth under the lips, and that can't be helped. I actually have the same thing.

For me it's the other way around - when I play it looks perfectly normal, but I somehow pull my lips in one direction, so without the mouthpiece you can see the remaining ring being a bit further on the left. Everyone has their own little embouchure quirks! ;)

Avec une technique pareille elle pourrait jouer beaucoup mieux. Y a parfois des notes qui sonnent trop sèches/creuses dans le détaché. Ca manque aussi parfois de musicalité sur certaines phrases je trouve. Mais dans l'ensemble c'est très bien. Bravo !

But she is not your student, and teachers all have their own ways of doing things. Whatever, quelconque Qualcunco. alles was, she plays extremely well, is very young, and can't be expected to be perfect yet. I would happily pay to hear her, watch her perform - but I guess knockers and negative commentators will always be part of the human race/

Post a video i say, but i want to say one thing she plays with a lot of vibrato i agree i tink that is her style off playing. Everybody has ther style off playing and you like it or you dont. I like her vibrato but and i love to listen how she plays. But i cant watch it because the position off her trumpet just ignores me. Like she isnt playing herself. but just pushing the valves. If you know what i mean.

I wonder if she developed this embouchure because she didn't have a proper music stand when she was learning - it looks like she's keeping the trumpet out of the way of her field of vision. Or maybe she was nearsighted and had to stand very close to the sheet music? Anyway, the embouchure is a means to an end, and her sound is absolutely magical. I wouldn't change a thing if I were her.
