I've more than 12 years service in the Police under my belt and can safely say that the 'job' is dog shit. Most of my colleagues (PPU) only put up with it because of job security and a semi decent wage with a pension to follow. Good on you for questioning any and all public officials you encounter - everyone should do it and be encouraged to do it. Too many uniform carriers (wasters) in the job that despise the public they are supposed to serve and it's a shame...it's common to hear members of the public being spoken about with contempt within the walls of a Police Station.

As an ex officer myself, I agree, and am depressed that the standards of recruitment are the lowest I have ever seen. Now we have minority hires, tiny men and women, and police men and women with full sleeves of tatoos on display. It is depressing to see so many officious, sub standard, and downright unpleasant characters wearing the uniform.

I appreciate your honesty 👍 serious question ? When was the last time you seen an officer arrest another officer perverting the course off their duties? Infringing people's rights ? Breaking the LAW?
@cmb29342 жыл бұрын
@@jasong3621 the short answer is never. I saw two cops lie under oath in court to secure a conviction. They lied about the existence of CCTV and the the guy that got convicted complained to PSD afterwards and it was proved that the two cops perjured themselves in court....this was years ago and both cops are still in the job with one having been promoted....nothing happened! I left the job after trying to whistleblow. This led to me being targeted and harassed for doing so. I had to leave before I ended up in trouble...I spoke up about a retired school teacher that wasn't being investigated properly because of his political ties and he was 100% a guaranteed nonce that would have been convicted of he saw court because we had multiple victims willing to speak. Disgusting isn't the word - I'm writing a book now about the lies, corruption and abuse I saw and tried to speak out about.

I hate the thought of the officer's like yourself feel they need to leave a once respected position especially beat cop's that connected with the public and people actually felt safe when they seen police, the disconnect has caused a huge problem with the way the public see police now even to the point we all hate being in the presence of anyone in a uniform, this will be one of the reasons Auditor's started videoing all interactions it is up to the officer's present to act within the law and try and connect with the public again if they ever want any kind of respect, thanks for your service and I for one would like to read your book when published 👍

I liked this bit, you can see how they are instantly taken aback, when they are brought back down to earth by someone, and their pathetic demanding behaviour is brought to light, where its normalised usually, they just expect the public to do whatever they say, just because they are the police. This mentality is severely damaging to democracy, and its the same thru out the police force, its like they're trained to order us about in a way that sounds legit but is violating our "rights" not that we have any rights in the real world
@kelvynmoore48823 жыл бұрын
@@reacey Just as an alternative viewpoint. AB was a pedestrian on an A road, with no footpath. The A452 is a well-used road for HGV traffic wanting the M40. It's not beyond reasonable concern that a pedestrian, with no use of a footpath in those circumstances, is potentially in some danger. And/or potentially a danger to traffic on the road traveling at 60mph. I don't believe any rights were “violated” by asking if he was OK. And I'm pretty sure even AB would agree that asking such a question was not "mentally severely damaging".

Either it's theft or it's not. Did he mean to say that they didn't bother to arrest the man because the value of the stolen property was too low so all they did was note his name (which it sounds like they knew) and let him go. Proving that stealing low value items is not a crime in the eyes of the police now a days because they can't be bothered with the paperwork.

A B you are the best. The best auditor and a decent human being. You could have left the story where they took the stuff off him, but you bought the items for him regardless of whether he was going to eat them or swap them or sell them. You didn't judge or look down on someone less fortunate than yourself. You are what we ALL should aspire to be, caring and giving a thought for those who are in need, it could be items or money or just a hug, we are all capable of giving something.

Very insincere officer here. “I’m concerned for your safety!” He mistook you for simple.

Steeling because you are hungry is one thing, but stealing expensive nuts is another matter. You should not encourage it.

You should have taken the receipt and given it to him with the goods. There’s the risk he might get stopped again. If he has the receipt then there would be no issue.

I kinda wish he walked back in with a disguise and stole the exact same things.

I dont think being conscious of your surroundings is something those cops at the end were taught. Also, i appreciate you purchasing the dude with expensive tastes dinner for him, whatever situation leads someone to be in these positions i think when we look at it, it will be society screwing them somewhere along the line that triggered it and it's just going to get worse.

Nice contribution. The PCSO, didn't try to incarcerate the gentleman, and M&S didn't try to press charges. And you bought the goods. A lovely story of people being nice! Thanks AB.

Walk into any police station and ask if they're responsible for your safety and get ready to be laughed at . Asking any police for help your very likely to get yourself into trouble.

That first plod was ok AB, I think sometimes you have watch out what you say to the ones that are trying to be nice whether they have any agenda behind being nice but it can show auditor's in a bad light sometimes with some subscribers

@@denak9249 yeah nowadays there's alot of auditor's in the UK, some have a really professional way to show the negative and positive side to thing's, some do engage with some really good dialogue with some cops

Front page of the local rag tomorrow. "Local man caught twice with same stolen goods" Claims they were a gift the 2nd time, but never had the receipt to prove it. Held in custody till sentencing on Thursday.

@Lucy video evidence has been dismissed as it had been edited so legally deemed as being tampered with. Initial charge stands plus added charge now of trying to perverting the course of justice.
