Getting ID is hammered into every cop at almost every stage of their training at Police College and their first station. Ditto with seeking out driving offences as this requires the driver to ID and is arrestable if they fail to do so. Cops are taught that so many offences are 'gained' from the simple production of ID. my ex-neighbor was a copper, he would always drunk drive (his bad parking was the give away) He once asked me if i wanted drugs & proceeded to tell me all the drugs he could get hold of. And did i need a car stereo as they had excess of them at his station - I didn't even own a car 🤣 Outrageous behaviour huh. That was over 40+ years ago now, i wonder if the behaviour of the police has changed much 🤔 P.s he never once asked me for my I.D 🤣😂

AB - I think the first building you saw is a computer data centre - the london stock exchange have one in basingstoke and other city based firms - hence why so few windows as its just full of computer servers and large loading bay for the unloading large computers.
