Never fails to astound me why they are so concerned about a camera, I can only assume that they are frightened of getting caught breaking the law. Britain is the most closely monitored country in the world, we have more CCTV cameras per head of population than any other country, including North Korea China USA Russia, yet the moment a police officer sees a member of the public with a camera all hell breaks loose!

Sadly last time I was visiting Merseyside Police HQ (Rose Hill) on the morning of 10th March 2022 (part of an inspection), I didn't really get a chance to take any photos as due to the royal visit by Prince Edward later that same day the place was on high alert, in part due to the royal protection detail etc (which is done by a different police force - Metropolitan Police as opposed to Merseyside Police). I was diverted to park in the staff/deliveries car park instead as the visitors' car park was closed and coned off for the royal visit, in fact I got into a bit of trouble for moving the cones (due to a miscommunication) outside the visitors' car park. But the reason why the Rose Hill HQ reception wasn't manned was because Rose Hill HQ is only open to the public by appointment only. Yes there's public access to the door to reception through the visitor's car park, but it's not open to the public like the previous Canning Place HQ was in the city centre - hence maybe why you got challenged why you were there and the purpose of your visit.

As a scouser and someone who has been battered twice off Merseyside Police and proved myself innocent of any wrong doing in a court twice whilst on assault on police charges ,what I can say out of experience of living in this city is you don’t want to mess around with these coppers around these ends because it never ends well a lot of them are proper bent, these are legit gangsters with badges and those that know this around the city and in that force know what I’m talking about. I do not know what the situation with garbage dump in other cities looks like but Liverpool will soon turn into a garbage dump, people even while driving a car throw the garbage out of the car through the window, education on environmental care either stayed in the Middle Ages or is practically zero, I visited a few countries and I've never seen anything like it, you really have to have zero respect for people who try to keep the streets clean and the environment. Even animals clean up after themselves. :(

Classic 'not my job mentality despite the 'it's my pet hate' comment ... A professional officer would have acknowledged the observation, taken note and reported the mess to the person responsible for the facilities to deal with it either directly, or via the Council. If it was a long term issue from McDonalds, or the wind tunnel effect as they alleged, then equally the matter should be addressed on a permanent solution basis. Shows slipping standards ... although it is credible that it is waste from McDonalds. (I feel certain that if the Police had a word with the McDonalds they would probably contribute to clearing the problem ... )

AB an absolute legend. Love these audits. Disgusting amount of rubbish inside and outside that police station, and they blame the wind carrying it from 150 metres or so from the main road?! Notice how clean the HQ was.

Sorry AB for the grumpy cops in my home city, you'd think they'ed be made up with their(OUR) brand new station and cheer up a bit, great vid AB. Ashamed to say in Liverpool alot of the residents tend to throw rubbish because the first thing that comes to mind is "IT'S KEEPING SOMEONE IN A JOB" ie Council Road Sweepers.
