Big Steve then thats a big problem because a lot of people are killed or jailed for no reason. Being a government work doesn't give you the immunity of not being harassed or killed by the same police. Example Tatiana was killed and the police officer didn't even have time to seen her.

Cops lie. All the time. Keep quiet. Don’t give them the opportunity. It’s hard to do in the moment, when you’re feeling a bit rattled, but cops are certainly not interested in your story, explanation, or excuse. Just give them your license, registration and insurance. Then stay silent. If the situation is more serious than a traffic stop, ask for a lawyer. “I want to speak to an attorney,” should be the first and only words you utter.

Literally had a cop stop me once on the way to the gym, I was walking with a mesh bookbag on, and all that was in it was a towel, water, and a couple snacks, I lived in a small community where everyone knew each other and a lot of my friends knew that this cop planted drugs on people, I refused to let him search me because of this. Thankfully, the confrontation lasted only about 5 minutes, and he left me alone, without a search, but he claimed he "smelled something" claiming he smelled drugs, interestingly enough, with how far apart we were standing, even if I HAD drugs, I highly doubt he could have smelled them...

My sister became a cop down in Florida. She quit within a year because the general attitude was “so depraved she felt she was losing her humanity”. And given how she still talked about some things, she already lost some and didn’t even realize it. She told me of a mentally ill person in an abandoned warehouse. She talked about how “well he wanted suicide by cop so he got it.” And the guy never said anything of the sort. They *went in* with a dozen cops, gun drawn. With no knowledge of anything other than, “a possible squatter in an abandoned warehouse”. When I brought up bringing only one cop and maybe EMT or a crisis intervention team, her response was, “for a fucking hobo?” She continued to defend all decisions when I questioned them. But she does acknowledge maybe my complaints about law enforcement in general may have actually been valid all these years.

I've been pulled over a couple times, and most of the time the first thing I hear from the Officer is "Do you know why I pulled you over?" My most satisfying interaction came when I answered,"No, because I failed the class." Officer's response, kind of taken aback was,"What class?". "I'm a student up at [Local State University] studying for my Bachelor's. I've got a class I had to take for my Psychology/Philosophy credits called 'Mind Reading & Crystal Ball Analysis'. That's the one I failed. I have no idea what you were thinking when you pulled me over." Which is true. I was 5 under the speed limit because I was boxed in by a dude pulling a boat and a big rig, I hadn't been driving erratically, plates and everything was good. "Oh so you're a fucking smart-ass!" "No, that was a fucking stupid question. Got and more?" "Watch you mouth, boy, or we can sit here until decide what to right you up for, or make something up..." I didn't tell him about my dash cam at the time, nor did the Prosecutor's ask. When we went to court, Prosecutor's put him on the stand, my attorneys didn't cross, but reserved the right to bring him back later, fairly common practice. When my attorneys brought him back, they introduced the tape while he was on the stand. within a few minutes, Prosection motioned to drop the charges, but the Judge ruled to find me not guilty instead. Now, Prosecutor's no longer put the Officer on the stand, as EVERY time that officer writes a ticket, Defence attorneys bring that tape and that police report into evidence. The cops 'Word' cannot be trusted.

The business address and the building address. It didn't help that we still had a New York Plate and we were in Maryland... Depends how yellow. It IS important to keep lights consistent, otherwise you will have idiots going around with red and blue lights making it look like they are ambulances or police cars. The reason lights can be white OR yellow is likely because of how wide the range of "white" can be, some ranging to light yellow. If you have shiny banana color yellow lights that is likely not what was intended by the law, and it could cause confusion and/or traffic accidents (Warning lights are usually yellow).

@@cherrychris5068 Illegal? Not Dumb/Potentially dangerous? Depends on how yellow I guess, we didnt see it. The answer could be yes or no. Remember a lot of warning and traffic lights are yellow, so yeah it would be good to specify the range of yellow i n the law, but then it will be worse for cops because they will need measuring instruments for ranges of color. Honestly law assumes a certain level of personal and civil responsibility, and sadly some morons ruin it. Probably the law should stay as it is, and if this guy has lights that could be dangerous, and that constantly attract attention to him....well...He should get used to be stopped by police and hopefully see its not worth it. A dashcam saved me from charges when a police car fired into me from behind. The officer claimed I cut him off and brake harshly to take a slip road, causing him to drive into the back of me. The GPS log from my dashcam showed i had been doing a constant 60-65mph, (under the speed limit for the road) for at least 5 minutes before the incident. And the rear facing camera showed him joning traffic behind me at the previous slip road. But the thing that screwed it up for him, was the fact you could clearly see he was using his mobile phone as he hit me🤣 Result was a driving ban and suspension for him, and a compensation cheque for me.

A person that is narcissistic and or exhibit psychopath is definitely a normal human being because those traits are human traits that most humans have to a degree. Serious question- Why isn't there a national resource center for police to call and verify the law. I mean, just the amount departments would save on law suits would be enough to fund it.

I was once stopped by an officer. I took my seat belt off to reach for my wallet. When the officer walked over, he wrote me a ticket for not wearing seat belt. I tried to explain to him that I just took it off, he yelled at me and threat to send me to jail if I don't shut up immediately. I was terrified and angry. I could have gone to court to fight him, but couldn't get time with my work schedule. So I just paid the fine even I was innocent. This was such a negative experience with police.

I was hit by a truck and had two witnesses. The cop wrote me a ticket, didn’t write down any witness information, then proceeded to tell me that I could get their statements with the freedom if information act. Yet, witnesses statements and info was never taken down. So i went through hoops only to never get information to back me up. They states bc of the skid marks i was the one who hit the truck. When, in reality the truck crossed into my lane and hit me. I had people who worked on cars and did body work tell me that I was the one hit. Witnesses and body tech telling me I wasn’t at fault. Yet. I still had to get a lawyer bc i was facing a big fine and fingers pointed However. Since the police stated it was my fault and didn’t take witness information “they’re unreliable” i was at fault. This video was definitely the best ad for a dash cam. I’m getting one now.

A cop damn near broke my dad's foot because my dad got pulled over once and attempted to get out of the car. The cop ran over and shoved him back in the car and slammed the door on his foot. My dad was definitely in the wrong (you don't ever exit a vehicle while waiting for a cop to approach you) but the way the cop handled it was insanely ridiculous. I was there. My dad kept asking him to let his foot back in the car and the officer kept pushing the door instead. This was many years ago before any cell phone footage or dash cams. I'll never forget that though

My dad attempted to get out of the vehicle once to meet the police officer half way, and the police officer politely asked him to get back into the vehicle and then explained that it was against their regulations. My dad said "Oh, my bad," and returned to the vehicle. He was very polite and then after the warning we went on our way. All was well. It really isn't that difficult to use your words politely. That police officer committed assault. Our interactions with police officers have been quite positive, so far. I know that isn't always the case.

It would sure make things easier to have integrated cameras, especially for the rear view. I have a hell of a time fitting a camera to look out a hatchback. If you mount it to the door itself it gets beat up from the constant slamming of the door, plus the wire flex is an issue. If you mount it inside it looks ugly and messes up your headliner.

The requirement to become a police officer is not as strict as the requirement to be an attorney, or a judge. Police officers should definitely be required to complete more law school, and it should not be available for every single lawful, yet very potentially ignorant citizens. Leaving that availability in its present state only serves to fuel more ignorance, and misconduct from law enforcement positions.
