Way too expensive for me 😅. I'm good with my Dynacaster 😁

Soon as I seen this on the screen….the original Star Trek theme started playing in my head….I WANT ONE!!! and also…. I CAN’T justify buying it! Lol. 😂😂🤣 So nice though!!! Especially for people who do not like to have their mic right up in their face. Nice video! I can tell this one took you some time

My goodness this mic is GOOD! Where's the singing test though?!

Front address is the way to go. I don't know why more companies don't do more of this style. It's WAY more practical for using in a multitude of settings. I look at a front address mic like I look at an audio interface where the inputs are on the back, where they SHOULD be, like 🤩🤩

Wow. Thats a thing of beauty. It handled your pickled peanutses incredibly well. Rejection is amazing too. Probably out of reach of many but damn is it smoooooove. Can you order it customized or is that only at audix’s discretion?

She reeeeaaalll pretty!!! I am not positive but I didn’t see anywhere that offered engravings. When they sent this out they had only done a run of 150 mics. In some of the shots you can see it labeled by the filter switches “88 of 150”. It makes me think they don’t offer the engraving. BUT they might do it for you if you reach out! I can also ask them!

@@AudioHotlinei appreciate the hell outta that!! My budget for mics right now tho…. Lol. So pretty. I just picked up 12 mics for up coming vids and studio use. I gotta start selling some of these hahah.

the DCM8 sounded great, especially concidering the price

Audix with +3 presence boost sounded best to me. The RE20 Black is my beloved and this with a +3 boost sounds like a little bit thicker RE20. Agree that the price difference makes it not worth it though. At $600 it would make it an actual consideration against an RE20.

Damn, this microphone sounds (and looks) great.

It's beautiful, but I think the RE20 slightly edges it out. For the price, I'd rather go with the Audix SCX25A, which in my opinion looks a little better, and has one of the most versatile capsules I've ever used.

What do you think, which dynamic mic is best under 90$?
@bf2853 Жыл бұрын
For singing/rapping the SM7B sounds better. a lot more high-mid range presence with a top high end end sheen that cuts in for clarity

$799? is that all? The gold grill is worth it alone.

To me all the other mics sounded better than the Audix, more open and crisp, I found this mic too muffled.

Like you, a lot of people prefer V shaped microphones. Meaning mics that have more treble and bass than a flat microphone. The sound is more designed. Like I was saying at the end, microphones like this that are much more smooth and flat throughout their frequency response are much easier to EQ and process in post. This is meant to capture, then be manipulated. It gives you the choice of what frequencies you want VS V-shaped mics that don’t really give you that same versatility because they have their own sound somewhat baked in. You can still EQ a V-Shaped mic, but I look at it like this: V shaped mics are jpeg 8bit photos. They can look (sound) awesome, and sometimes that’s all you need. Flat(ter) mics are like a 12 bit RAW photo, it might not look amazing at first but once you edit it, it looks better (sounds better) than the jpeg and can actually be manipulated much easier in the photo editing software. For a lot of people, a v-shaped sounding microphone is exactly what they need/want. However, if you are recording a bunch of different people with a bunch of different sounding voices, a microphone like this is going to be much better to use so you can EQ it to each persons voice.

It makes a lot of sense, in my case, as I don't know how to equalize I already prefer microphones that are more ready out of the box, as you said in a V shape. But in fact, for those who know and like to equalize a microphone like this, which is flat, it's worth it.
