Audra, I am so sorry that they treated you like that. For what it's worth, in my opinion you are the best and most amazing singer I have ever heard!!! I am so glad that you didn't let your experience on The Voice stop you from singing! The producers should have picked you, but it's THEIR LOSS, not yours. Also, there is absolutely nothing wrong with not having a sob story. As someone who does have a sob story, I wish I didn't. Not having a sob story is a blessing. It is really good that you have a happy life. Not having a sob story shouldn't make you feel inadequate or anything like that. I am really glad that you have a happy and fulfilling life!!! You are super awesome and amazing just the way you are!!! I am glad that you didn't let the producers manipulate you into portraying yourself the way they wanted, rather than who you really are. I hope you will always remain authentic and genuine, and never let anyone try to pressure you into changing. You are very inspiring and awesome, and your singing and your KZbin videos like this one really encourages me and makes a big difference in my life!!! I hope you will always keep singing for as long as you enjoy it! You have tons of devoted fans who love you and support you!!! I hope your finger is healing really well!!! God bless you!!!

I also feel like they would've ruined you a bit, tried to change your sound, make you sing crap you aren't passionate about. . Congrats on absolutely making the right choice with the path you've taken!! ☺️

It makes me love you even more as a person and artist. This was an excellent chat today. Keep going! You’re doing wonderful. I really want to get up to Erie and see you play at a local venue. Theoretically they didn't deserve such a good voice. It often happens that good people get released before their time. It happened to me in all kinds of competitions, I remember one in painting where being a good painter is useless. You draw horribly. I didn't even understand why they made me go to the other side of the country just to say thank you. I felt the same as Audra.❤ He was even a young 16 year old boy.

Thanks for sharing. I'm so glad you kept up with your singing. I own both of your Concrete Castles releases. They bring me a lot of joy when I listen to them. I also eagerly await your F211 releases they are so good. That being said the experience that you had, the heartache , the awfulness of it forged you into the strong confident person you are today. It sounds cliche but life can be so hard and cruel for no reason. Either you learn from it or you let it crush you. So I think you took something so amazing from the experience although you probably didn't realize it at the time. Your self worth. Its a huge thing. I say this without trying to be cheesy about it. Most don't discover it till way later you got it early. It also usually takes going through an emotional wringer to find it. So keep up with the journey. You are living life on your own terms ,which is how we all should live it.

Tragic story but fascinating view of the "dark side" of Hollywood. I'm so curious about what your (and Trevor's, Ryan's, Sam's) goals/dreams are with the band / music in general. I'm sure I speak for many that you and your band have provided such fantastic entertainment/art to so many "on your own". What is your view of "taking it to the next level"? Some kind of original hit song? Is the current "business model" (social media, youtube, tours etc.), being based in Erie, enough for you all as a career? This whole business is a complete mystery to me. I'm just happy that I get to listen to your high quality music as much as I can!

Appreciate the BTS story of your experience. I remember when I did an episode of a reality dating show on MTV a LONG time ago (I'm not going to age myself here) it was incredibly eye-opening how much was planned, premeditated, and for the sake of counting the word "reality" - faked. I once got an email (probably auto-generated) telling me to apply for the job that fired me five years earlier... Seriously, though, thank you for being so honest about all of this. It's kind of disappointing and infuriating to hear this, considering how many game shows and reality shows I've watched over the years, but I'm also not too surprised. I guess the biggest take away from your video is that Southern California is fake as hell, but I've lived on the West Coast all my life, so this is no surprise to me either. I've tried out for Jeopardy a few times, and twice they called me back to audition but I didn't get picked for the show. I've often wondered if it was kind of the same reason, I don't have a good story to tell when they do the practice contestant interviews. If I try out again, which I'd like to but I just haven't gotten around to it because life gets in the way, I wrote down some thoughts after the last audition of what I can do differently in the future, so I can practice a contestant interview. And that was really messed up that they changed your song on you at the last minute. You had every right to be upset.

Happy birthday to your channel, Audra ⭐️ People get disappointed in themselves and lose strength if they have inflated ambitions. For example, i entered the Tyumen Oil and Gas University, title specialty and Tomsk University of Radio Electronics and Control Systems, by competition of 17 people and also Tomsk Polytechnic University. - this is called greed and I did not give them «on bread». As a result, they almost tore me to pieces. I graduated from Novosibirsk State Technical University. If you are sent there, it will be a meat grinder. So do not regret. Thanks for the video, the main thing is a smile and a dimple, bye.

I used to watch talent shows back in the day. Usually you can see participants are good at what they do, but still very far from pros in a technical level. However they are told they are amazing and incredible, when reality is they are not at a level they can make a living of their talent. The shows are more about the overcoming of a kinda sad story than about talent. They are made to appeal a broad demographic section of the population, not just people interested in art or music. Personally, I think they are a factory of crushed dreams. I remember a boy from my high school got to the finals of my country's version of Britain's Got Talent. He could sing in a soprano range, which was very impressive for a boy, and he liked to sing opera, but if you knew a little bit about singing, you could easily tell he couldn't control air flow and he was running out of breath very quickly in high notes. The judges praised him like crazy and overreacted, and told him he could get very far in music. Obviously, he didn't. He pursued it for some time, but eventually gave up.

Way way back, when Idol was the singing show (I think it was the 2nd or 3rd Australian Idol season.... back in 2004, I think) I tried out for it, and was told by the judges that I should forget about the show, and start a rock band. At the time, I thought, "Well I guess I'm just not good enough". And I knew there was some "I'm not good-looking enough" in there as well... but now looking back, I see that they were probably trying to do me a favour. If I had pushed hard enough (instead of being discouraged and stepping back from singing) it would have been better for me to have tried to make it on my own (not even necessarily in the rock genre), away from the pop system. Especially knowing just what a horrible deal people get when they do get on TV on those shows.
