Ruta Lee was featured on the latest episode of the RuPaul show. It's incredible, 60 years after "Invisible Diplomats", she still looks just the same! Ruta Lee is surely an inspiration to switchboard operators everywhere.

Where was Eloise when Mr. P. called for Mr B? Still on her break? Or did she quit? LOL.

She probably saw the writing on the wall and went to get a job at Consolidated or Quinn-Ryan

@@CharliePonyik LOL. Well, first of all she lets Mr. Bullard's unprofessionalism get her flustered. Then she makes a big deal of it. After that, she unknowingly hung up on a client without making any apologies, and made no effort to locate him. It was clear she didn't take her job seriously enough to stay on top of things.

I know this is unrelated to video, but Bonnie Franklin never got props for being one of the best sitcom moms ever. She was neurotic and too nervous acting, but she really loved Barb and Julie. She was there and did the best she could. Didnt take crap from Julie either. She was good at being mom. I dont like the show in general because its too silly with the janitor all the time, but she was a great mom.

They existed, but didn’t fully catch on until the mid 70s

They had just come out. You will notice that they did not have the # or * keys. Those keys came out later.

This film is like an intersectional crash of apparent anachronisms (that weren't).
