This series means so much to me. I wasn't even born when it was made but my Grandad who I never got to meet loved watching it back in the 80's. My mum introduced me to it when I was a teenager and I've adored it ever since. It's really special to me to know I'm enjoying something that my Grandad loved before he died. Almost like we're watching it together somehow 🙈

Hi Craig.. I'm guessing you're referring to that Scania Truck with the auf wiedersehen pet livery on it . It's in my other video number 5 in the locations . Its brilliant isnt it. It belonged to a chap from Chester le street called mark Bruce. Hes a top man and let us go and take pics. Unfortunately he doesnt have the truck anymore. I think I included all the photos I have of it in the little video.

Thanks Neil ... weeks..?.. yeah and the rest 😁👍. Iv done 6 of these videos up to now , all with different awp locations, and I started doing them the locations to put together about 6 years. Iv got a 7th in the pipeline but I need a few more locations to have it ready. It's the time getting to the locations that takes the longest. But it's a bit of fun innit 👍😁

Hi barry ... massive thanks for that nice comment. Well it's not a soft job as you can imagine, but most of the locations are listed on the awp website , and those that are private, iv just been lucky talking to the right people. The hardest part has been finding time to get to them. Iv been at it now about 7 years . And yes I'm working on another awp compilation at the moment. Iv got some more Newcastle locations to do before I get it together . But I probably wont be that far north til Feb 2020. We recently did graingers grouse moor from series 3 , and that will be on the next video . Thanks again. ... ta ra for a bit

Yes it certainly is. He joined us all on a fan meet for the 30th anniversary of series 2 . Feb 21st 2016. He does like to go to fan meets .

If Thornley Manor is off limits, how’d you get to it? We go past here all the time, pity the owners don’t try and make money out of its fame

We got in because I contacted the owner a few weeks before we went asking if it was OK. Thankfully he agreed to let us have a look round . What he doesn't approve of , is people just rocking up thinking they can walk round like it's a public tourist attraction. Hes not interested in making money off the back of it , he quite simply just has it as the private family home. This was all correct at the time of our visit in 2017 .... things may have changed since then.
