Loved how the mapmaker at the beginning made the city looks bigger by making the streets with cars using red points for the backlights and yellow points for front lights, very ingenious

Not spectacular with the fights but conceptually it's very nice. I have an interpretation which goes something like this: the section with 'The Chasm' is a shout-out to Blade Runner, where the film leaves us in doubt about whether or not Rick Deckard himself is a replicant. The joke here with the game within a game is that we don't know what exactly is real and what isn't, it's a meta point about the nature of reality and how media and internet culture create simulacra.

Oh yeah, Go Straight, the theme of the first level of Streets of Rage 2. This wad really gets some mileage out of that soundtrack. Also, the Chasm secret is hilarious.

Those bartenders serve your drink rather very fast. Homing drinks, specialty of the house. The drinks are served in very thick and heavy glasses that might hit you in the face if you are not careful.

The arch-vile strip club was fun. This wad's sense of humor is unmatched. Absolutely ridiculous that this never won a Cacoward.

Great map! The Arcade was very cool. But the real highlight was the appearance of "The 3 Arch-Vile Brothers", and their tap dancing extravaganza! Wow! Also: I'm gonna miss this wad when it's gone, tho! Also, Also: I love that late 80's-early 90's House music midi, too. Reminds me of a Track called "Good Life" by a group called "Inner City".

So I have a "red" or "Virtual Boy" mode on my phone for nighttime (iOS accessibility color filters) and what gets me about this map is that, the Chasm secret excepted, this map really doesn't suffer at all for having it turned on. It says a lot of good about the design work on display here that, even filtered through a color almost entirely absent from its palette, the map still holds up as a cohesive and intelligible whole.

Completely random question Decino, In Doom 2 Map 28 - The Spirit World, you start the map facing a chainsaw and the entrance to the main part of the map, but if you turn right theres another path leading to a section of wall with 2 skulls. Opening that part of the wall leads to a square room with two small indented spaces each with a skull switch. Do those skull switches even do anything? I have always wanted to know. If you happen to know that is.

We're almost done with this masterpiece of Doom level design. It's crazy how there can be so much detail and level feel in a engine that (With some tweaking) dates back the the 90's. It's like the creation engine...... except it works.

Midi is an absolute banger and that opening vista feels like a great throwback to Glass Messiah before you bust through the window and crash the party. The WTF easter egg is of course the best part of this map. Sorry, doom guy's a free2play pleb 😅 The dark areas are DARK in Crispy. I felt this was one map that played better in gz since the vanilla darkness + crispy resolution cuts your vision a little too much for my taste (night vision secret would be welcome there, which is weird since none of the maps use it). I liked the rave dance floor though. I never found that archvile cabaret line, that's fine. As an aside, I saw you do the mtpain27 thing of hearting comments. After taking issue with your Cynet Reaper opinion I felt I was obligated to go back and check out a few other videos since I don't like dropping drive-by complaints. Snowballed into all of them which was fun, good show. AUGER;ZENITH isn't exactly the hardest wad, but it's got some spicey moments, a sick aesthetic, good variety, and peppy music. It's fighting for my favorite semi-vanilla/limit removing wad with Scythe 1 at this point.
