Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges was a French violinist, conductor and composer. His historical significance lies in his distinctive background as a biracial free man of color. Bologne was the first classical composer of African descent to attain widespread acclaim in European music.

A fresh breeze of grace and charm from the 18th century (when they likely clapped btw movements). Augustin's patented singing tone is addictive: can't stop listening! Since Augustin performed this piece with Houston symphony in 2021, I have been looking forward to a release of a video recording by him! I even did a deep search on KZbin over the past few weeks. So glad to see this!!!

Omg thank you Augustin for uploading! The same concerto that I saw live in Newark NJ in 2021. It was actually streaming on PBS for two years but it was taken down couple of months ago. I was so sad they took it down but not anymore after seeing this upload!! I'm so happy now! ❤❤❤❤❤
