People saying Heifetz is better , no ? Even Milstein is cleaner and more pleasing than Heifetz . Also Heifetz phrasing is not as colorful as here .

Bach is the perfect companion during COVID-19! Many thanks, Augustin. I have been lucky to have heard you in concert quite a few times, and hope for many more. Let us hope this crisis will be over soon. Music will be pivotal to our recovery.

I love the way he so deftly highlighted all the different interweaving voices/parts while maintaining the phrasing and not losing any forward momentum and tone. Bravo!

Dear Maestro Hadelich, I have experienced your playing twice in Seattle. You enter into the music, find its origin somehow, break it apart and make it your own. It is as though I am hearing it for the first time, fresh, inspired, warm, inviting, absolutely beautiful. Thank you.

When the playing is so precise (and it is filmed properly) that you can figure out his exact fingering.

Wow, that was some seriously impressive balancing of voices. All of the counterpoint on the D and A strings was clear and balanced during the bariolage with the open E. I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised by how stylistically informed it is...Hadelich really is cutting edge.

Beautiful. What a treat to hear Augustin perform these. I was 10 when I first listened to the Bach solo sonatas and partitas on record. I couldn't believe I wasn't hearing 2 violins, the 2 voices Bach composed so distinctive.

Dear Maestro Hadelich, thank you for this posting. You've been an absolute joy in my life each time you've come to Seattle to perform. The first time for me was the Mendelssohn and you had me in tears in the second movement. It drove me to delve into "This Is Your Brain On Music" just to understand the connection between you, the music and my emotions. What I came to understand is that each of us responds in unique ways, and that meant you and the instrument are uniquely attuned to my brain, for which I am truly grateful. Please stay safe, Maestro...the world needs you more than ever.

To be honest, he needs a lot more of practice to get rid of this ridiculous vibrato. His posture is horrible due to the chin rest and maybe he should change to gut strings. Otherwise he shouldn't be granted to play this grand master!
