I feel like 50 CENT had the same opportunity of sharing so many sensetive details in the beginning of his breakout year. I feel like if more artists were open about there life and got respect enough opportunity from the media to respectfully do these kind of interviews, possibly we would be more attracted to them.

I see a lot of pain.... i see a lot of people that don't know where he come from. just look at his face when he try's to explain about his mother 35:00 look and listen to his voice and how it brakes up.... people don't know that he does have a lot of growing to do, He look's and sound like he was abused, step father coming in and disrupting his connection with his mother, and the lost of his brother. Very Sad There is a lot of pain in his song. I pray for him

Just saw this....he got my attention after he fell off stage and was in a coma. This young man has made me cry. I judged him and we are mirror images of one another....I lost my sister when I was 20 and she was 22. I lost 2 best friends...have a very complicated relationship with my mother. Have not spoken to my father for 10 years but today we exchanged numbers......I went through Katrina and have been homeless with my son......God forgive me for ever thinking I was somehow better than this man because of a song I heard him sing....we are no different....

Doagae Porbeni proud of you, it take a real person to stand up and be honest about themselves. And i'm sorry for your loss. I always say judging one another base on none facts is the reason why we fail as people. We have to be careful on what we see on tv, we get self absorb because we think we know them as people. And we don't. We don't know what this dude been through. So i be the first one to put myself out there to say on my message above I assume base on what I saw.

I think it's ironic when you feel like your going through so much and then you hear someone else's story, and it actually makes you feel like your situation doesn't compare to theirs, but I still feel like I can relate to certain parts of August story. I listen to a lot of music growing up, but I never felt like their was anyone that I can relate to because no one ever talked about anything real. And then I discovered August here on KZbin, and I remember listening to a song where he sings about missing school because he didn't have the resources he needed to continue to go to school. I can relate to that. I thought I was the only one who felt like that. I didn't think anyone would understand, but when I heard August admit that, it just blew my mind. I feel like more people should be more honest and open. You never know someone could be going through the same thing as you. May God continue to bless you August Alsina, and I will continue to support.

I want August to blow up so big, and just make it so far. Simply because he deserves it. A humble man who has stepped up in so many ways, and who is also an image for many other African American man which they can follow towards a positive direction. He's a perfect example of someone who didn't let the hand that was dealt to him be the end of him. It's good to see someone start at such a low position and climb up so far. Anyway I love your spirit August, and I pray that you continue to prosper.

A book! A book! A book! This guy has been through a lot and you can feel the depth of what he has been through. I am not an emotional person, but I feel this dude 100! Its something different about him. Never judge a person based on their actions or personality only. Look deeper! He is still young and I foresee that as he grows and develops in the industry, like with everything, he will become more mature in certain areas of his life and experience. Give him a chance people! you never know why a person has developed certain attitudes or personality traits. There is a lot that contributes to that. Like culture, environment and life experiences. God isn't finished in the life of August ALSINA! I BELIEVE THAT!

This was hands down the best interview that I've seen with him. Angie is a professional & unlike every other female dj wasn't trying to flirt with the male artists because u don't have to do that to get a good interview. I'm gonna be praying & in agreement with him that God mends the relationship with him and his Mom. Benediction happens to be my absolute favorite song on the album but the whole thing from start to finish is poppin. I dig his voice too. This young'n is wise and I hope he keeps that as he gets more successful in the industry.

I'd love to have a conversation with him for hours, because he is so wise, and way beyond his years. I really am growing more and more to like him as an artist, and a person. Although, he is this street dude he's very likeable, and very relatable. I may have not grown up in the streets however I can relate to his struggle. I know too also know what it feels like to lose a sibling. I know what is like to have a divided family. I agree faith is what keeps you going. I'm just all for his success. GO AUG! I luv August Alsina because he's so real and humble and so down to earth and I can relate to his music and his music is so heartfelt. He has a hard side and a soft side and he knows how it feels to be at the bottom because everybody has been through it and he speaks the truth and he's just so .... DIFFERENT from other artists he's real his music is real other artists talk about ass shaking and eating pusssy and tryna get in your draws but his music has meaning his music tells a story like that song ''Get ya money'' it's about a stripper who's tryna pay for medical school and do what she has to do to make a way in life. How do i know that? Because his music speaks to the fans it sends a positive heartfelt message to everyone who listens to it. August Alsina your so handsome sexy and real at the same time stay real I love you and I'll always be there to support you along the way as a fan keep doing what you doing.

I love August' this is my type of music for my generation. For him to only be 21 he's seen pain and he uses it for his music instead of trying to hurt others he helps. This is my idol. Im 20 years old i havent had a crush on a muic artist since Chris brown came out lol and i was like 13 then. So for me to be so obsessed and fascinated with this man he has to be the best. And i love that he is a mommas boy. Shows that he can treat a woman with the up most RESPECT. hes also a great person period. He tells you yes i sold drugs and its night the right way to go he says its always better things to do with your self. We need more artist like this. 😘😘😘😍😍😍😍😀
