I just found your channel and found out you run a Christmas readathon. I think it sounds like a great idea. Many people will be having such a rubbish time this Christmas for many reasons and a little escapism might be just what they need. Reading some sappy romantic holiday books, reading some classic feel good Christmas tales or just getting cosy with some polar themed reads! Self care is extremely important in times like these. I’ve not participated before so I don’t know how you run it but maybe make sure to put in some prompts that encourage diverse reading? There are Christians all around the world who celebrate in different ways and I’m sure there’s fiction out there that reflects that? Just to throw out ideas :).

I couldn’t agree more with your thoughts on Midnight Sun. I’ve been pushing through trying to finish it and I’m on page 400. I just want to finish to finish but I think it was way too long after the series to be as into it as my teenage self was.

I read 'Uninvited' in 2017 and it changed my life in so many beautiful ways!! I also bought the Study Guide to go with it. I remember reading the first page and closing the book and I just started to cry. I said, 'Lord, okay I get the first message...honesty is trying to heal me. I am ready." I grabbed a notebook n pen and by the time I finished the book I had 49 pages of handwritten notes, that I refer to quite often. I have given so many copies of 'Uninvited' to friends and to many coworkers. If you want help with the following Issues: Rejection - Perceived Rejection- Self Rejection- Alone-Loneliness-- Trust- Bitterness- Resentment- Anger- Acceptance- Humility- Scarcity Thinking- More Rejection Issues then 'Uninvited' is for you! The Heavenly messages in this book have settled me, changed me, saved me, and prepared me to face any issues that may come my way. I have also read 'It's not supposed to be this way' and 'Becoming More Than A Good Bible Study Girl' by Lisa Terkeurst, and I loved the messages God sends to the readers in both books!!

I'm fairly new subscriber to your channel and I know nothing about the tis-the-season-a-thon, but it sounds interesting--I'd like to know more. I just received Midnight Sun yesterday from Amazon; I had try to borrow it from my library at first, but I've been on a waiting list with 7 weeks to go. I was reading a e-sample on my Libby app and it just ended last night, so great timing for it to arrive; I think I'm on page 67 at the moment, but I did notice I'm not reading at the intensity I thought I would; I blazed through "The Accursed Child," when that came out, so thought I'd attack this one at the same speed, but that hasn't been the case; I started the sample more than a week ago and I had only gotten to chapter 3, until last night. I think I might look into the Twisted Alice tale--Alice in Wonderland is my favorite classic.

The One was a 4 ⭐️ read for me; however What Lies between us I gave 5 stars. Half way thru Midnight Sun & to be honest I’m a little disappointed as I don’t see too many differences between this book & the Twlight series. I have never heard of Liz Braswell, but have put a few of her books on my wish list, even tho Goodreads has less than 4 star ratings. Have you read any of her books? Thoughts? I’m not sure if we’ve all just grown out of our twilight fandom phase or if it is just a bad book. I read it, but it just seemed to go on and on and say the same things over and over again. I needed the audio at like 2.75 speed to help keep me focused and to keep going. How many times do we have to read about how Edward watches Bella while she sleeps? Midnight Sun should have been half the size. I feel like it’s a slow read because from Edwards perspective nothing really exciting happens and on top of that you have so much internal dialogue of just Edward thinking that it slows it down. I’m enjoying it but books written from the other POV without anything new will always be a little boring to me.
