Fredrik Bachman is a genious, love his books, but I have to say, he is many things BUT lighthearted.. his book are really hard and deep - absolutely rewarding though, recommend them, mainly Bear Town! I still need to read a few by him, including Anxious People. Love your dress! :)

I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the Fredrik Backman book. I loved his book A Man Called Ove and it was darling. You should read Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi. It was so incredible, I think I need to reread it soon! This is the first time I have heard anyone speak about the book Caste. After reading A Man Called Ove about 3 years ago I immediately decided to read everything this man ever puts out lol. So far there are only 2 novels (Anxious People and Britt-Marie Was Here) which I own and have not yet read as well as his 2 novellas. Honestly, his books are so charming and heartfelt! He writes people and communities is such complex and gentle ways without shying away from heavy topics such as abuse, suicide, depression and rape. He is one of my instant-buy favourite authors ever.

Fredrik Backman is like. My all time favorite contemporary author. Even ones that I thought I’d hate (Beartown, Us Against You, Britt-Marie Was Here) I absolutely LOVED. I’ve read the first chapter of Anxious People and laughed/cried so much in three pages alone. (I’m holding off on finishing it because I’m in between like five books as it is, but I’m excited to get into it)
