@@TheGuitarifier Matt Griener is like the metalcore version of a pocket drummer. Very talented obviously but more importantly is just always on his shit never added too much where it isnt needed. But yea with drummers like Matt Halpern or Matt Garstka out there not even being the top of the talent peak, its hard to even see where great drummers stand anymore.

I love everything except at least his snare 1 2’s have to be stronger. Like when it’s no fill it hard hit, when there is anything more than a 1-2 is light. Doesn’t match

@@Mr___f hmm....even in that regard, I feel like SO many drummers are better. He's a lil too predictable and plays the same exact accents as the guitars a lot of the time. It tends to just sound choppy and weird. Dude is a great drummer though, he's as tight as they come. Just think saying he's one of the best technical drummers of our generation is a bit of an overstatement.

You know, the Tool drummer, beautiful what he does and I will still compare this to him, eventhough the Age and Expierence and what not I don't care, there has and is not anything out there quite like Matt. Matt Greiner is metalcore drumming perfection. He does exactly what the song calls for, and doesn't add any crazy fills so all of the guitar parts hit way harder and the song in general hits harder. That's why ABR is so satisfying to listen to. Sure there are other bands that have insane drum parts, but that stuff gets old after awhile and sometimes takes away from the feel of the song.

Matt, if you read these comments, I would love for you to do a play through for “The Seventh Trumpet”. That’s one song I couldn’t quite do. I’d love to see how you play it.
