Nicest guy ever! He got down to the fence and talked to me and my friend after the show. No problem taking pictures, and he gave my friend who is a drummer a drumstick. This happened twice , years apart at shows in Stockholm . His drumming really is a part of what makes August Burns Red unique.

At every show, this dude comes down after the set and interacts with fans. Fantastic musician, and a good dude.

As a fellow drummer, Matt is one of my many inspirations. And not only is he an extremely talented musician, but he's SUPER nice in real life. Can't wait to see him absolutely kill it on the Constellations tour in August!

Warped Tour one year featured music lessons from different performers on the tour and I got gifted a drum lesson from Matt as I was working on drumming at the time and when I met him I got so nervous I was shaking so bad I could barely hit the drums. Man's a legend.

The grip between French and German is called American grip. Matched grip just means that both hands use the same grip at the same time.

I am not saying it was easy for him cause he is one of my favorite dummers. But he is lucky that he had full support and his family had a place for him to play. I had a kit for like 2 years and couldn’t play it cause I didn’t have a place to play.
@TunnelJumper5 жыл бұрын
Colin Serbu nope, his situation definitely made it easy for him. My parents instantly regretted buying me my first kit at the beginning of 2007. It was SO loud and shook the house so things would fall and smash. We didn’t have much money so I neglected high school in favour of working as much as I could and buying double kick pedals and meinl byzance cymbals. They would only let me play when nobody was home because their ears would be ringing if I did. Naturally, there was always somebody there so even though by this point, I have really nice gear, it really, really hindered my progress and work ethic toward the drums.
