Hello from Kentucky, zone 7. Peanuts grow better in the ground. The reason is that the top of the foliage will double over into the soil and produce the nuts. By growing them in the bucket, you limited the plant from its full potential of production. If you grow again next year, do an experiment by planting some in the bucket, some in a raised bed, and some in ground. I know you will be amazed! Great harvest and nice video. 😊

Hi, im in zone 7. I planted peanuts in May. May leaves are not as tall as yours. That's got me a little worried. I did get a lot of flowers, which is promising. But still, ugh. They are in a grow bag. Thank you for the video. Of course, I want to see the secret recipe

What an awesome garden you have growing. I failed with my peanuts this year as the chipmunks and/or squirrels dug them up. I’ll try again next and protect them! Great looking fruit. I bought an Asian pear tree as my husband likes those. No fruit yet. That was a beautiful fruit harvest. Happy growing.
@GrowSomethingTasty

HEY, Sherees!!!! Thank you. I did not get peanuts the 1st time I planted. The animals are something. Do you have more than 1 Asian pear tree? They need a pollinator, that's why I asked. Happy growing for you as well.

Nice! This is such a sweet time for gardening❤ at my plot all of my neighbors gardens are overgrown, and takes minimal maintenance. We just come, water, and harvest lol. But also right now it is time to start planting winter crops. My second round of corn is coming up very nicely.😊

HEY Mark!!! Not at all. I got it from Ison's Nursery and Vineyard. I got the Instant Orchard Korean Giant. It was double the price at 63 dollars. I got it last year, and it did not fruit but it did this year. So it was worth it for me. Some might fruit the same year but I am happy. I'm so doing it again.

How does one sow peanuts very interested?
@GrowSomethingTasty
@GrowSomethingTasty 3 ай бұрын
HEY CustomCroshae!!! I will definitely do a video on it next year. You can sow them by using raw peanuts or buying starts. I got the starts from my local seed and feed store. One year I bought raw green peanuts from Publix and planted them.

I need your advice!!! This is my second year growing watermelons, well trying to grow them. The large ones. They start to grow but then they developed a black spot that slowly grows and destroys them. What can I do???
@GrowSomethingTasty
@GrowSomethingTasty 3 ай бұрын
HEY @habeshahabesha!!! That is called black end rot. It is due to a like of calcium. That causes the black spot on the melon. The melon can't be saved at that point. You will need to cut it off the vine. You can add calcium to the soil. Now that used to happen to me when I started growing melons. I did a soil sample and found I had loads of calcium in the soil. It was that I was not watering consistently. That will cause the calcium to be tied up and the plant can't use it. Once I did that I did not get a lot of black end rot. I think that happened once this year and I grow lots of plants. So think about how you water or get a soil sample and you will know the answer.
