Those cardigans have me nearly convinced to give indie patterns a serious try and inclusion into my pattern stash. I love them both! The Nina reminds me of a couple of sweaters I have stashed away up north at my parents' house - I go up and stay over the holidays and it's always cold, so I wear them with leggings and boots. I think I need to give serious thought to taking a Nina with me! Also, I have some french terry that would be perfect for the Jamie - never would have known about that if you hadn't made it. Always a pleasure! ❤️🌺

Hi Kristen. Happy spring. My Goose laid her first egg of the season yesterday, so I know spring is here. She laid it near my water tank where the cats lay during the day. So funny yesterday afternoon to find the cat sitting on the egg. I love all the beautiful fabric you show to us, and thanks for showing what you make with it, and bringing us all the free patterns. I love the colour of your trousers. They match the colour of the flowers in your top beautifully. How are Meg and your cats? xox

It's so nice to see Spring flowers arriving! Our flowers will be leaving us soon as I am in the U.S. I instantly fell in love with the Nina Cardigan. I just love that style design, so I sent an email to the company as I couldn't figure out what size I am. I am all over the chart with my measurements, so I sent them mine and hopefully they will be able to let me know. This pattern I have to order a single size instead of a group of sizes. Their patterns are really well. If I have a problem with the making of it, I might email you! LOL! Your tops are so pretty and the ponte pants sound good too! I think I will be busy this Winter! Thanks!

Hi Kristen, noice roundup, as usual..☺️ I’d like to put in a vote for the helens closet Blackwood cardi. I had that pattern in my collection for at least 18 months and only just made it about 3 weeks ago. I am very very surprised and delighted at how much I like it and how chic the lines are. I was cautious about it because it didn’t close at the front, and I thought it may be a bit frumpy. ......but eventually went ahead with a very fluid rib knit. And I am soooo happy with it. I am already planning another. Your style arc cardi (which I love by the way) reminded me of it as soon as I saw you in it. I even found myself thinking “ooh I wonder if Kristen has tried the Blackwood“. The slimline fit is similar. The Blackwood is longer line which gives it a really elegant edge. Again, I have to say I was absolutely surprised at how much I love it. If you love the style arc, you will love the Blackwood......and maybe even love the Blackwood a little bit more....🤭

I have bought this fabric and I think you have convinced me to make this cardigan. I also wasn't sure what to do with the fabric. I have made the Blakley pull on jeans by Style Arc...so very comfortable. For a dressier look the Willow Pants are also very nice. For me, I have found I've had to make minimal alterations to Style Arc pants.

Love your makes. I have made the Athena top in cotton lawn - works very well. Also in the cotton/linen blends from spotlight. I really like boxy tops, but in the more structured materials I would definitely not go up a size. I have bought some of the Jocelyn Proust fabric that you showed here and am planning on doing a Mandy Boat tee with it. :-) Thanks for your vlog.

I have that Jocelyn Proust fabric (and quite a few others) it is fabulous. Your Tessuti fabric cardigan is just PERFECT, so very much my style, I will have to get that pattern. The Fabric Store has amazing merino's that would be wonderful for it. You keep teasing me with the Zadie jumpsuit, it looks so amazing on you. I cannot remember whether you have made the York Pinafore. I am going to be making that very soon in a Jocelyn Proust cotton drill. xxxxx

You all are freaking me out about spring!!! Was your winter 5 minutes? We are still at the end of summer here in the States. Your beautiful boiled wool coats would only work for about a month all year! LOL This was a great show! First I have NEVER in my life seen a woman look so good in a jumpsuit as YOU in this one! Never! It was made for you and you were made for it! You have to take care with those turtlenecks....and I feel the same way about jumpsuits and bodysuits! I would be on the phone yelling at a friend: "Get me out of here!!!" I have performance anxiety every time I watch what you did and do. LOL I am not sure why we have no interesting and lovely fabrics here where I live but at least you have found them all, and I will be most happy for you. We look like a sea of undercover here: gray, white, black, blue............ You know the bird turtleneck you just showed? I found a bird turtleneck this week and picked it up at the store. What is the difference? I can see all your birds! The birds on my shirt are all over the fabric......but so small! After seeing yours....I feel ripped off! LOL Anyway, have a grand week and is it time for spring fabric shopping yet? :)

Oh I know our winter is nothing like yours I bet! No snow here but if we drive up into the mountains for about 90 minutes we can see the snow in winter! I'm fairly close to the water here, we have a beach about 2 kms away but its full of crabs and jelly fish. Our nearest swimming beach is an hour away!

I wads just looking at the Tessuti patterns the other day and thought about that top with the high neck that you showed but like you I can not wear anything tight around my neck so decided not to download it. I have some of their patterns but I don't like the way that the patterns don't have layers. I'm so used to the layers feature now that I don't like the patterns that don't offer it. Any recommendations for dealing with this issue with the Tessuti patterns??

I don't find it too much of a problem mainly because the patterns are not too big and complicated. They are just starting to expand their size range now so maybe they will start? The patterns are all hand drawn so its quite a unique way to draft. Hopefully they will respond xx

I have made the Style Arc Winnie Knit Top (www.stylearc.com/shop/sewing-patterns/winnie-knit-top/). I also feel a bit constricted if the turtle neck is too firm. The Winnie Top has a lovely soft neckline that I quite like. Maybe for you?
