It is honestly is me bringing lipsticks out with me and me losing them somewhere in my daily life haha. The ones that go missing are the ones I take out of my makeup area... like the one that slipped out of my pocket when I was gardening and I found behind a plant pot a month later. The boys like looking in my makeup drawers, but they don't care about the lipsticks I keep in my handbags haha.

I think that sentencing yourself to a no buy is like putting yourself on a really strict diet - suddenly everything is new and available. As you say, you are being mindful in your purchases and as such you're not as easily sucked in to the endless marketing. I know I'm a sucker for holiday sets and minis of new things so I'm just going to try not to buy immediately when I see things. That is if they even get here to NZ. If it's anything like last year's UD moondust palette I won't have to worry. I completely missed them and I was keeping an eye out.

something that came to mind and maybe others commented as well, will you try and review the hindash blushes, the peachy/pink and silver/lilac one? i would love to see your comparisons to your rose blush (forgot the name) and berlin girl glow!

I think adding permission for a reasonable amount of fragrance (within whatever your budget is) sounds like a smart idea. Then you're not feeling deprived but you still have boundaries in place to prevent you from overpurchasing. I've learned from experience that being too strict with a no-buy can blow up in your face!

I'm ever so thankful for these video updates on your no/low buy plans! Keeps me in check, too! I just pat myself on the back, because I actually decluttered four blushes and only bought one new in their stead. I feel like replacing two more, but I'll see if I still feel like that in about two weeks, before buying anything. I also used up my mascara to the point where I used it up again with the inglot thing, so I opened a new one after like 7 months. Super proud of myself. Then again, there was that day this summer where I went to work without applying mascara, so I bought one on my way in and it is a tubing mascara and I hate it and it was expensive, too..eh. I used up a skincare thing, and replaced it with a new skincare thing, but a different product along the same idea - hitting two things with one buy! However. Clothing items I have been on the search for since 2019, 2022 and last year, all appeared on my radar within the same one week. I spent a lot of money, feels wrong, then again, it is a very much planned buy. So. So.

My no buy is still touch and go. For the most part I'm sticking to the plan except for one category. But I'm going to give myself some grace here, I haven't been interested in buying any nail polish for easily the last 5 years (probably more actually) so I've decided instead of beating myself up I'm going to allow myself to have some fun for the remainder of the year and then reassess. So long as I don't overflow my space limitations I'm just going to enjoy it.

I'm on a no-buy, but in saying that, I wouldn't mind getting a new foundation. One that actually suits my skin tone!! I might look into the Naked Sundays tint. Thank you!

This is the trouble with finding new products you want to try, you're doing well still. My low/no buy has ended up in disaster. Beauty boxed really got me this year, I've also fallen back in love with trying new products (I'll still finish everythin). Hopefully next year might be a bit better. Set flexible rules

It seems your low buy is working for you! 🎉 I think its always so important that the overall direction is the right one, who cares about perfection! I'm on a no buy this year for most things and Im so proud of myself. Haven't bought any make up at all! I was very tempted though by that Glaminatrix palette ngl 😂 However I made a Holo Taco purchase for nail polish... But considering how few things I bought this year I'm not mad about it. I also allowed myself up to 3 perfumes and I can't stop thinking about all those sweet gourmand perfumes you keep mentioning... Guess thats what I'm going for with those 3 purchases 😅 crossing my fingers theres sth I like, too!

I say buy the foundation that you’d prefer to wear, and even better if you finish one before buying the new one. It sounds like you’re more interested in the tinted moisturizer, it’s ok if the other one is more trendy! I had to toss out a Mac face and body because it smelled bad and was getting little bumps from it. I’m only allowing myself one foundation at a time now 😅. My no buy has gotten easier lately with makeup but I did buy lots of school things last month, most were on supplies lists from classes but still it added up

More invested because I want to find a tinted SPF that works for me, because I never have. Realistically the Huda one is something that fits into my current routine better, but I also have enough medium coverage foundations haha

Sounds like you are having pretty good success or your no/low buy. If you consider all that you could be buying , and in previous years would have bought , you're doing fantastic! I for one appreciate the reviews that you do on the new products, so I get an idea of whether I want it or not. I value your honest opinion, there doesn't seem to be too many of them around anymore. Keep up the good work, go you good thing, as you say.

If you like the waffle cone/ maple syrup scent you should try the wax & co maple pancakes candle. My whole house smells like the pancake parlour and I love it!!! They also have a delicious lemon meringue cup cake that’s like a sweet citrus and vanilla scent

My low buy has not gone too well this year, I caved and purchased 2 Singe blushes, a make up sponge and a puff. Love Angelica. I grabbed Glaminatrix Barely Basic on release. And on Myer Sale stocked up on 2 Lancome Mascaras. Oh and the Natasha Denona golden palette in Sephora sale with 2 Fenty Lippies and Fenty lipliner. Fragrances I bought are Rebel Rose & Wall Street by who is Elijah...love them. Please review the Naked sundays spf tint ❤

I use a hand mirror. My house is surrounded by trees. It’s not 100% but I use one window that has the most sun to put on mascara. I’m just so used to it now so not a big deal. I bought a lighted vanity mirror but it just wasn’t cutting it. 😂I want to try the Huda foundation, too.

That’s fair! I do my makeup on my computer desk that has a lamp. I will still use the hand mirrors occasionally, but I missed having a desk mirror ☺️

Tip for sharpening liners: put the liner in the freezer for 15 minutes before sharpening

My fridge is downstairs and I will never remember to go get it before I do my makeup. Realistically it will just mean that I gather a bunch of cold pencils in my fridge that I will never use. The easier option was to replace the blunt sharpener haha

I think perfume allowances would be totally okay, not that you need my permission lmao. I think adjusting the rules a bit is better than just abandoning it through and through (which is what I am inclined to do after I break my no buy rules)

Nah, it's always the lipsticks I am currently using and I misplace them. When I am at my desk the boys like to go into my lipstick drawer and look at my lipsticks and then they put them back (not always undamaged though haha)

I hate to say this but bcos you are in Australia I dunno if the tinted foundation is going to be as relevant to all your viewers in the north. Or maybe it is as we won't have any real sun to tint ourselves with soon (Yay I hate summer) Then I had a second thought & now I think 🦆 it We watch to watch you. That's totally fine! I definitely don't create content just to please the US audience. This channel is more about my makeup journey, whether thats trying to use things up, or to find my perfect Stereo Rose dupe. Naked Sundays is available in the US in Target, so it could be relevant, but I don't know if/when this product is releasing there.
