One of these days I'm gonna give those old Animorphs books a shot. I just hope I don't hit my head falling down that rabbit hole...

It's a worthy rabbit hole to dive in

Ha, thanks. I like the Cryptkeeper, and I thought it was funny he was in a Budweiser ad back in the day. Yeah, looking forward to all the thoughts on it.

I have read many many books on internet archive. I hate that they are always under attack. So much gold on that site. Cheers!

It really is such a great resource!

Great to see you reading Matt Helm. I read the first 6 so far and have loved them. It feels quite genuine, even with the outdated sexism and leeriness.

I agree. I enjoyed it thoroughly. Something about the prose just made it so engaging and readable. I'll definitely keep going.

Yes! First off, come on man, though I appreciate it, I feel bad now knowing you hadn't read Hunger yet and then had to read it on your phone. Second, I feel extra bad cause I read it and....ehhh haha. I love that you can't help but laugh talking about loving Hawk. I have a few Matt Helm books but haven't gotten to them yet. I need to get on it. So many books so little time. I give this review video 4/5 stars (that's what you give everything. ha!)

Haha I knew you were going to feel bad. Don't. It's all good. And yeah, the book wasn't great. It was alright. My 4/5 was probably overly generous. I'm easy to please, haha. That should be a new running joke of the channel; every time I review a book, no matter what I think of it, it will get a 4/5.

I love the awkward openers--please don't change them. So much to comment on: First, that Budweiser Tales shirt is incredible. Did you buy it new or is it vintage? I'm not sure I've ever read an Animorphs book but it sounds like I have to, very soon. I certainly admired the covers when I was a kid. I have a copy of Hunger--haven't read it but I'm eager to do so. I heard the same thing about Deep Blue Sea ripping off the novel. I've read several coveted retro horror novels that I couldn't afford on Internet Archives, such a great resource! Lastly, after hearing you say you're not a collector and you like to pass on books you enjoyed to other readers who might enjoy them as well, I would feel better about accepting your copy of Specimens--if that's still on the table. Another great video!

Ha thanks man, I couldn't change them if I tried. Thanks, I love this shirt. I bought it new from a site called Cinema Slime. Yeah I didn't read Animorphs as a kid either (too into Goosebumps), but I'm really enjoying my current read through! And yeah man, the offer is definitely on the table! My email is on my channel page if you click "more". Shoot me an email with your address and I'll send it your way ASAP!

An easy western recommendation is Harry Whittington's Desert Stake-Out. I'd rank it alongside or maybe just a tad below the best of his highly regarded PBO crime fiction.
