Josh's dad, Walter, was going to chat business with a woman which led to both Drake and Josh following Walter to a restaurant where they, incorrectly, thought he was meeting said woman for a dinner date (and thereby cheating on Drake's mom). Drake and Josh went on to interrupt and sabotage the date, culminating in confronting Walter who basically told them "yadda yadda not a date yadda yadda job offer".
