I 100% agree with everything you said in this comment. Mikey and Jay absolutely did nothing wrong in this entire episode and the parents just randomly decided to put them in a situation like that. Yes they have done some seriously life-threatening and unforgettable things in the past, but this was absolutely ridiculous. This legit could give them lots of trauma, which could mess them up even more, especially when they hit adulthood. The parents should have been arrested a long time ago and Mikey and Jay should be in a safer home with therapy sessions. But in reality, I really hope Shaun and Caido (the real life kids playing Jay and Mikey) are doing okay in their own lives BTS of DMS. The moms aren't the only thing that's overlooked. Noah is as well. He's portrayed as the voice of reason and the good person, but all he does is say "Guys we shouldn't do this" before immediately doing so after one of them says "Oh come on! The hand you use to hold a bow depends on whether you are right or left handed. I was an archer so now I want to rewatch the scene and see if it's wrong. I have and looks fine. And you can easily see in front of you from that position by turning your head, which you'll do when you're firing an arrow. I have seen plenty of people use a compound bow and the position is exactly the same. And it is held in a very similar way to a recurve bow. Maybe you can't use a compound bow left handed unless it's a left handed bow, but then everyone using it will just assume a right handed position. In archery your body doesn't front face the target because that limits how far you can draw the bow. Like try it, you'll twist your upper half to the correct position. He keeps his arm up properly as he draws it, nothing wrong with Dharmans portrayal of archery, except that he seems to load the bow from a horizontal position. That's the summer-camp-one-off-archery-session-method and no one should teach it as it is something that anyone who gets serious will have to unlearn. Any serious archer loads a bow from a vertical position as there's no meaningful increase in difficulty and you take up less space on a firing line doing it that way.
