Similarly, I want my guitars to be worn down in the places that weren't done by a relic specialist in the factory; And my jeans' holes to tell the stories they were torn from. These artists are the relics. Ppl say that (insert genre here) is dead, but when is the last time you peeped the scene? When AL was talkin about slowing down the keystrokes to swing the beat the way he wanted, thats the stuff that seperates us from them. I joke with my bass player all the time that we are only ever out of tune with each other when we stop playing! So my prophetic pathetic ass sees real MF will be pitted against the computers, and thats when we will bust out the schwifty style music that resonates with all heartbeats, and is simply just an expression of presence in the moment! I've been making music for many years, so i gotta say, I don't know exactly when he started, but I know a couple of the earliest records he did, and I read he went to NYU to learn recording (possibly), but what I appreciate about his talk is a couple of things. 1- he's an established hiphop producer, yet he doesn't seem to be acting like a $#!@ , he seems more humble and cool to offer advice on producing. 2- he doesn't talk like a hood, hardrock,thug or whatever but More professional and better educated.
