It's not boring at all because we learn stuff instead of watching some useless video with no talking or so fast that it's impossible to follow. Keep these kinds of videos coming. I personally love them. I even like when you hit a problem because it helps to know what to do if it happens to us. Great video. I consider your videos as best in class. I have absolutely no complaints.

Superb demo of the art of the possible. Totally agree with those who said this is not boring. Showing the set up from scratch makes it very "real" and understandable. This is one of your best vids ever. It's inspired me to get stuck in a go for it with AUM, Audiobus, etc. I'm going to use Auria rather than Cubasis but everything you demo'd is in the mix!
@maxduncan70906 жыл бұрын
one of the most informative videos I have seen about how powerful AUM and Audiobus are together. I don't have gadget or cubase, I tried this with garageband and you can load all the ports in AUM separate so you can record simultaneous. yeah 5 star video.

I completely agree with Perry. We all encounter problems and watching someone else work through them helps a TON! Thank you so much for your helpful vids. I think you'll find most of us appreciate seeing you dink around solving issues on the fly. Your reviews are one of my major deciding factors when buying music apps. Keep it up brother! Thanks again!

I am the same. Those 2 guys are great. There is another guy called theaudiodabbler who is fun to watch. I check for videos of the 3 of them. There is also pantsofdeath but he doesn't do as many videos. I should make videos. I have the equipment(doesn't take much). Have fun!

Thanks for this! I didn't know that AUM would auto load devices if you loaded them in AB first. Great trick. Another idea would be to put Cubasis in as a generator and use it just for its MIDI sequencer, then you can layer and build up your arrangement, then mix and EQ and record the output in AUM as stems. Maybe even drop them back into a new Cubasis project later if you wanted. I find recording into Cubasis is still a chore.

Will save a link to this vid - GREAT how-stuff! MUCH more of this sort of thing is needed. I can buy a synth (and have done so TOO many times) and can try all the presets- no brained. But to actually do something with all these complex apps is another story. Most devs only put out a minimal bit of info on how to use them - not tech theory with all the heavy math - but some useable techniques on using/playing them.

This is really useful. Not least because it shows what an utter pain trying to get all these apps working together. Have you used Studiomux? It's great to get seperate audio from each instance of an app, but I still get lost with it.

This was a great video, Doug, thank you! It's good to see you building everything up. And liked the track, wanted to hear you jam more! I was thinking of a possible solution, to make the cubasis-process quicker. Maybe, in Audiobus, set an extra routing, with in Input -> AUM and in Output -> Cubasis? So maybe, then AUM sends the ports trough Audiobus to Cubasis. Don't know if it works btw. And I'm used to jam, recording loops with Loopy or Blocs Wave, but this a great alternative way of working. I thought it would be too cpu-heavy, but it seems to work smoothly here, so now I definitively want to try it out :)

Because it's an AUM demo about how to record from AUM into something else
@perrypelican94767 жыл бұрын
With AUM you can play a bunch of instruments at the same time and record the result. You can't do that using only Cubasis. You would have to record each synth one at a time into separate tracks. It just depends what you want. Try AUM and you will be amazed how cool it is and how easy. The combination of AUM and Audiobus, especially the new Audiobus 3 allows you to do insane things. Electronic musicians who try these IOS setups will freak out and be converted to using apple devices. It's so inexpensive with nothing lost compared to using a computer with a bunch of expensive hardware.

Hi and very thanks for your nice video . Can we controll cubasis transport ( play pause record backward ) and volum fader of each track and record track bottom of each track with midi controller for example nano controll or irig blueboard through midi learn of aum app ? The cubasis app doesn't support midi learn for controlling transport or mixer through midi controller .

When you do an audio mixdown can you choose mono or stereo - you have to record individual tracks or can you do mix to a single track? Great vids but less playing and more technical nitty gritty info would be more useful.

Hello, i love your videos and learn a lot from you.... but i have a question... is it possible in Aum to run / record a single Korg gadget synth or drum? I can get sound when i run it with Rozeta rhythm but see no settings to run a gadget alone in Aum.... i hope you can help me... in one of your videos you run Gadget within Aum.. but the only way i can do this is with the option “send midi clock” in the Aum settings.... but that is limited to just one channel and the Gadget is not complete in sync in that case.
@TheSoundTestRoom5 жыл бұрын
That’s not possible, you can on Y run Gadget as an Inter App Audio instrument
