I ate at all-you-can-eat buffets for decades. Now that I am older and my health isn't the greatest. I can no longer eat at this kind of a restaurant. I could only eat maybe one plate or half a plate and I would have to run to the bathroom, then I would feel like I have to get out of there. My eyes are bigger than my stomach, and I don't want to waste food. Thanks for showing us. 👍🏻👍🏻🙏🏻🌹

What I like about this they give you smaller portions, but you can ask for more. That way, you don't waste food. 😎😎

I had to comment and say that this is my absolute FAVORITE foodie channel! You guys are so down to earth and inviting... making me feel like I am family sitting and eating a good homecook meal at the table with you! I like it that you don't rush...and your explanation of the food is so complete and descriptive, I can almost smell and taste the food right through the computer screen!! And I love it how you show the outside of the restaurant and the ambience of the beautiful dining rooms. Feels like I am right there!! And then taking the time to show the menu offerings...it makes my mouth water every time!! Thank you for all of your amazing content. I love the Smoky Mountains and our family vacationed there alot when we were kids growing up. It feels just like home!!!

@ehills You're welcome. It is NOT hard to complement GOOD people! Mom and I vacationed in Pigeon Forge several years ago. We went to Dollywood in October during the Harvest Music festival and we ate at Aunt Granny's (before the pandemic) when the restaurant was still a ""serve yourself" buffet...it was YUMMY and the best meal we had at the park!!

@@jbinthehills I have a question for you. A lot of your reviews include coleslaw on the menu. All of the slaw that either me or my wife tasted was bland. Is that usual for southern made coleslaw? I'm from the central part of the country (Illinois). We tend to add some flavor here. We never ate good slaw at any of the Tennessee restaurants that we tried. Might as well been knawing on a raw cabbage head.

Leave it to Dolly to be called Aunt Granny!!!!! Proves what a sweet down home woman she is. She takes care of her family!!! The Buffett was so good! Cat fish crunchy breading flaky!!! Pot roast homeade moist and tender. Mashed potatoes, gravy, corn pudding, the cream cup I wouldn't try but cheesecake I would. Worth it if you have coupon book! Looks like you both had a good time!!!!

Just ate there on Sunday - it is our favorite place at Dollywood. Price is great with the Diamond discount. Plus the waitress said if we wanted to switch out any of the entrees or appetizers we could do that, so no worries if you select one and didn't like it :)

Have you ever been to Knobles in PA? It’s the only major theme park in the USA without an entrance fee! You pay per ride, 4.50 for the 4 major coasters, 3.50 for the haunted house, black Diamond burning coal mine ride; and then much less for the smaller caravel rides. They have two trains and three carousels among the over 60 rides. You can even bring your dog with you and they can ride 5 of the different rides with you! They have award winning food at reasonable prices! 3 potato pancakes for $5. Half a chicken, stuffing and two sides for $10. They have a campground and even rent cabins. It’s a hidden gem I just found out about, even though they’ve been open since 1926, and this year is the 50th anniversary of their haunted house dark ride. I hope you see this and maybe try it out. It’s been family owned since it opened!

I'm going to Dollywood in a few days. I've never been there before. I'm going to compare their eateries with the ones from Silver Dollar City in Branson Missouri. I especially like Molly's Mill restaurant at SDC. I'll see if there's any difference.

@@jbinthehills J & B, even though Dollywood and SDC sleep in the same bed, in my opinion the food at Silver Dollar City is better and is by far a better value. On another subject is parking. SDC free unless you want preferred parking. Free shuttle every couple of minutes from the PL to the front gate. Dollywood $25.00. I don't know about shuttles, because I parked for free in the municipal lot and paid $3.00 for an all day transit pass.

My two favorite things to do when I had Dollywood annual passes for four years as a resident back around 2000, ride, the train and eat at Aunt Granny's buffet about twice a month, no longer a buffet but i remember the fried catfish, huspuppies, blackeyed peas/tomatoes, and cornbread and peach cobbler/ice cream 😋 loved the video 🩷
