Yes there is a relationship between Poet and Aunt . As both are raising there voice against male dominating society and highlighting this wide issue by there own way. Poet is using her writing skills to make readers aware about the huge issue and Aunt by her embroidery reflecting same issue but in her own way. So both shows a similarities.

Yes I think there's a relationAdreine rich tries to portray what she has faced thorought her marital life.....she was might be not allowed to fulfill her fantasies and needs ..she had to seek permission always from her spouse......but she doesn't want to give it her own name...as it is an issue of the entire society which remains unaddressed that's why she has used Aunt Jennifer or it can be Jennifer is somewhat related to a jeenie(the one we always wished we had to fullfill our desires) and wishes her dream might come true if not alive then might be after her death......... Ma'am in my opinion, by titling the poem "aunt Jennifer's tiger" the poet wants us to feel the emotions of the aunt as if she is someone in relation with us. As in she is our relative who is going through all the adversities. This is because the poet wants us to understand it deeply as we understand the situation better when it actually happens with us or our relative. And it is possible that the poet has experienced all this by herself in her life and this poem is an expression of her pain

Yes, I believe that the poet and the aunt are connected. They are connected through all those oppression which every women around the globe faces.they're connected through this male dominated world which has left both of them traumatized in a certain manner. They both want to be free from patriarchal society,they both want to be free and unafraid but this male dominated society doesn't let their desires to be fullfill.
