Rosie and Alastor are basically Charlie's Aunt and uncle ant this point, and I love it. I love Rosie, she's so much more chill than I thought she'd be. Who would've thought the overlord of the cannibals would make such a good relationship therapist? Cannibal Town is a lot more pleasant than I thought. With the perfect level of theatricsfor Charlie. I love all of it. Also, "Out For Love" is such a bop, I lose it every time Vaggie gets her wings back.

I was expecting Rosie to be some kind of intimidating overlord. But she is really one of the sweetest characters in the whole series. She is a sweet mother figure to Charlie. Even more than a certain person. Also, Charlie got the determination and song and rallied an army to battle Heaven. I feel like Alastor suggested recruiting the Cannibals partly because of his friendship with Rosie & partly because he knew they’d be swayed by Charlie’s singing and dancing.

Exactly this. I know Alastor has his own motivations but I think he does genuinely believe in Charlie and encourage her (in his own... weird way) and it's strangely sweet. I like him and Rosie as the Aunt/Uncle figures

i think having a char like Rosie drives the point home that not everyone in hell is necessarily a BAD person. Like, yea, in life she was a cannibal, but at the same time, maybe she was also a super sweet person, just like she is here. People made mistakes, like Charlie said in Ep1, but that doesnt really mean they are innately bad people.

He could have given them the information about the angels months ago, they could have had 5 months to prepare instead of a day. He waited until the 11th hour, literally.

There are two points to this episode that I find hilarious: A) The ONE TIME that Charlie's tendency to spontaneously burst into song Disney Princess style would actually not just be useful, but ABSOLUTELY SUCCESSFUL, she is too messed up emotionally to manage it; And B) The only people in all of Hell to just be legitimately nice and respectful and receptive to both helping and making friends with her without any hesitation or trouble... and also empathized with her and were genuinely sweet to her, *_are the one group of people in all of Hell that even CHARLIE found horrifying, as shown in Happy Day In Hell._* These two jokes had me laughing hard.

The specific wording of Alastor's deal with Charlie really leaves the possibility open for a horrible outcome for Charlie. The deal was "One favor at a time of my choosing where you harm no one." "Where you harm no one" To Charlie, this could mean that the favor won't involve hurting anyone for Alastor which is what she was worried about, but to Alastor, it could mean that when he cashes in his favor, if it creates a situation where someone like Vaggie or Angel is put into danger and Charlie would have to harm someone to help them, she physically CAN'T. I don't trust Alastor a single bit and I never have before so this really makes me think Charlie just set a bad future event into stone.

i have two additions to this: in both of these alastors demands the throne from her the moment she becomes queen. 1) she wants to save alastor but cant because of the deal. 2) they pull a disneys hercules and the moment alastor hurts someone the deal is null and void.

You know it’s the fact that individuals like Rosie stick up for Alistor is what makes it hard to pin down his motives. He is without a doubt a bad dude, but more often than not he’s pleasant to be around, some find him friendly and the only people he’s truly terrible towards are those that disrespect him.

Alastor looked like he was genuinely enjoying spending his time with Rosie. Very few other scenes with Alastor give off that level of wholesome jubilation, the only other one that comes to mind is that lil convo with Nifty and the roaches. And it's clear how well they know eachother too. Near the end of the song, Alastor was getting sucked back into his, uh, "Alastor-ness", looking at Charlie with those super manipulative "I want this person" eyes, but Rosie intentionally yoinked him back into the song as if to say "Down boy, one thing at a time". Good choreography.

This episode was a really good penultimate for the season. Great character growth, 2 great songs, Carmilla and Rosie, setting up some big plot points for later, and some fun sinister Alastor moments. Rosie is delightful, but dang man, Carmilla is one of my favourite characters. She's just so cool and elegant, and I love her dance-like fighting style

I know people joke about waiting 3 years, but we also have to keep in mind that it was a history of finding a company to produce it, then figuring out who would animate it, then had to shop around for a platform, and then there was Covid and a writer and actor strike that the studios let go on way too long happening as well. I'm willing to bet we'll get it next year. Also yes! I loved Rosie so much and was so glad they didn't drag the relationship stuff out. It was always evident to me as well that she was mostly hurt by not being told and feeling like it was her fault for Vaggie not feeling safe enough to tell her more than her being an angel.

I was very curious on meeting Rosie as she is a friend of Alastor and she didn’t disappoint I really liked her. Carmilla getting more screentime was nice and her song felt like a Lady Gaga sound. Charlie’s deal with Alastor will most definitely come into play into season 2 that’s fs. I liked that we finally got to hear the song used in the trailer. A pretty good episode fs.

At first, it seemed to me that Vaggie not knowing that angelic weapons could kill angels was a big plothole as it was shown she herself was injured by an angelic weapon. However, given that Charlie didn't know she was an angel, Vaggie was probably scared how she would react to that information. Similarly, Vaggie probably also knew how the angels would react to demons knowing out of the blue how to kill angels, which was confirmed in episode 6 with Sera being afraid of Hell uprising and starting the exterminations as a result. Vaggie most likely also had to put on a façade of ignorance for Carmilla so as to not give the impression that she was a double agent or an outright threat to her. There's even a nod to this when Charlie tells Vaggie "If you knew, would you have even told me?"

No fr, Whatever it Takes happening makes Out for Love work so well! Cause in WiT, Vaggie and Carmilla are on the same page, but in WtH, Vaggie's focus changes from Charlie to the angels and the extermination. How can she stop the angels, how can she get revenge on Lute and/or Adam? How can she redeem herself in Charlie's eyes? Carmilla reminds her that her focus should be those she cares for. They're not guaranteed to win the fight no matter what weapons Carmilla gives them, but the people Vaggie loves should never have to question it; Vaggie can definitely guarantee that they know that. It's so important she lets them know, both through actions and words that she loves them, more than anything ✨

Alastor's words are very misleading. Like a Genie's wish, you must be very careful with a deal with a demon. Not specific enough can lead to many issues, and considering his words were "where you harm no one," doesn't mean the deed she must do leads to someone meeting a demise worse than getting hurt. My guess is that Alastor will use the favor to become Charlie's right hand when she ascends to Hell's throne. This would make him second only to the Royal Family therefore outranking any sinner, demon noble and even Deadly Sin. In this episode, he has already voiced his desire to form her, making her an investment for him. I don't think he's stupid enough to aim for Hell's throne itself seeing as so far, no demon seems to give a sh*t about who sits there anyways (also, his ascension would likely cause the hellborn nobles and Deadly Sins to revolt, that is if Lucifer wouldn't just erase him for it to begin with, and I'm sure Alastor knows that). Therefore, I think it's more likely he wants to be the man behind the throne, whispering into Charlie's ear pulling everyone's strings, sinners, hellborn and Deadly Sins alike, as the puppeteer in the shadows
