JR Central's Shinkansen connects Nagoya to Tokyo at a speed of 285 km/h. It takes about 100 minutes from Nagoya to Tokyo.

The Texas high speed rail is getting the N700 model for rolling stock, so in a few years you should be able to ride one of them when the line is finished. I wish that we get the same or the H5 type train here in California for our new line if it ever gets finished.
