This remix is flawless. I found it in a compilation of video game covers but since I kept clicking the same time stamp over and over again, I had to find the original video. Your cover finds the right balance between careful nostalgia and modern interpretation. In a way, it sounds a bit sadder than the original but in the context of having played this game as kids with hours worth of game time, compared to our "adult lives", it does make a lot of sense.

In the 90's, this game was already the best game to be ever released. Aeons ahead of everything else. I have no words for how much a could-be remake of this game would be a blast. This kind of work makes me dream, like I dreamt when playing the game.
