Some context: During an AMA on Reddit, Aurora commented: "It's the sister song to "Exist for Love" but from the other perspective. where love does not fill you up, but love has left a big hole within you” "When I wrote 'Exist for Love', a celebrations of the love we carry within us, I also wrote 'Potion for Love'. I wanted to also give something to the people who had lost their love. I find it so beautiful how we still find the bravery to give and receive love knowing how it can disappear at any moment. I became a fan of aurora when she released exist for love. I'd never seen a song express so well how I feel about love, and I dedicated it to my boyfriend at the time, who also came to like aurora's music. He broke up with me three months ago, and seeing potion for love be released gave me such a bittersweet feeling. Again, aurora expressed exactly how I feel in the position I find myself in now. I feel so blessed to hear this beautiful song and cry along, and to feel so understood. I've never seen someone sing about human emotions and tell stories in such a beautiful and poetic manner.

I understand you completely! Even without exactly dedicating it to someone else, this song does remind me of someone I was pretty head up heels for. I remember sending this song to him and him getting a little sad and surprised that the meaning of the song was so sad, so "goodbye-ish". Which is funny, as not a month later, he was indeed saying goodbye. It's a bittersweet memory, but it's kind of befitting this song. By the time this performance came out, I was crawling around my house, sad and lonely as I've never been. I was in a relationship that I cherished, but I was left neglected. She has some good music, some of her best songs are songs she didn't released. -why -I had a dream -When I'm gone (I prefer the live version" My favorite released songs are: -Exist for love -Potion for love -A little place called moon -This could be a dream -A different kind of human -Runaway -Mothership Sadly most of her music is filled with New Age crap and ideological trash as well with a chaotic and inhumane way of perceiving sex. I feel like in this day and age I’ve forgotten what it’s like to just live and experience every day instead of just surviving. I’ve struggled on and off with my mental health for the past few years but, every time I hear AURORA’s music it makes me feel at home, it helps quiet my mind.
