Aurora, Colorado - Whelen 2805 (Dual Tone) - Siren Test - 3/15/22

Today, I went out to get the Whelen 2805 for the Aurora Siren Test. I was surprised to find out that this siren is dual tone with the ESC 864 controller. This 2805 is located on the southeast corner of the reservoir, near one of the pump houses.
Aurora tests their 55 sirens for three minutes on the second Tuesday in March and November of each year at 11:30 AM.

I’ve had a few scenarios myself where Whelens I go to will prematurely cancel when no command to cancel is sent to them yet, cool video nonetheless!

A few days ago I was up in Morrison and apparently they have a whelen 2903 (if I remember correctly near the western side of the town. I assume it’s for flooding but it isn’t tested on a schedule

I never heard a dual tone analog whelen wps 2805 before the siren sounds like batteries are dying or it could be couple of speakers drivers going bad or the sirens need to be replaced
