She said in an interview, that when she grew up just next to the forest, she was out in the forest as a child until her parents literally rang a bell when it was time to come home for dinner. And she told about her stay in the attic of Tom from Chemical Brothers: "“Then I went to his house and forgot to order a hotel so I got to stay in his attic. It was beautiful. His daughter had a birthday, so I was kind of crashing her party so I said ‘No, it’s OK - I will go out for a walk in the woods while you celebrate. But I was out for like five hours and they were really worried. There’s no reception there so they couldn’t call me, so I think I made the birthday worse. I was out in the forest in the night and it was really dark too and I just disappeared. I came back with twigs in my hair.”"

That was a surprise concert. Aurora only knew that she would give one and what she sings. She didn't know the place or anything else. The feathers or flowers that fall down there are all kinds of surprises. In the Seed, the male choir is also a surprise.

The couple in the crowd at 3:54 are her parents. Their embrace at the end of the song looked like they were trying to hold each other down on Earth! I can relate to their feeling of watching their child succeed!

This reaction filled me with a lotta love! :) Fun fact this was a surprise concert set up for her in this forest which she spent a lot of her childhood in... just wandering around and even getting lost. She could not be more in her element than in this place. I believe it's where the forest spirits commune/d with her. Where she has received the gifts she brings us all from nature itself.

In case you didn't know what she said at the beginning, it was "Don't forget to dream big, it's very important". Also, they butcher the hell out of the lyrics. They get the lyrics wrong in at least two or three spots. It's not "Gun" it's "Girl". Gun doesn't even make sense. Anyway, great reaction. This whole concert and documentary is very cool.

Wise words! You are noe deep into Auroras world, a unique world class songwriter and performer. In private she is no superstar, but a humble and empathetic person. But when she is in the zone, you are just blown away by her power of vocals and lyrics!

I'm almost 50 years old and yeah for sure she made a difference in my life. I heard her first back in 2017, watched all her live KZbin performances and eventually saw her live in Montreal in 2019 at the relatively small and intimate Corona Theatre (they're probably renaming that you'd think, right? 😉). GREAT concert and SUCH a great vibe. One of the sweetest most memorable concerts I have seen. A magical being but also so grounded and genuine and pure. What an artist. I recommend listening to one of her really heartfelt and adorably honest livestreams.

I know you are deeply infatuated. As a lot of us are...... Seeing her live just ads that little extra. I still cant get over her ‘under the water’ performance on the ‘Honda stage’. Some years old - but who cares when it is Aurora ! How to understand it ? I don’t really know. I like to replace the word ‘water’ with deep depression. That makes sense to me. See what you think. In this she initially struck me as a more innocent/dreamy Bjork...... but the deep lyrics!... No two people have their brain cells structured the same way.... all of the "outside" is interpreted by the brain, creating individual "reality" - you are your own God. Be the deity you want to/hope/believe exists!

aurora actually said she doesn't listen to music very often because it keeps her from creating music. I guess that means that the quiet helps her hear the music inside herself

Yes, I have noticed her total immersion in some of her songs but not this one. It is upbeat and she has an intimate audience. She is "in" her audience, she is having fun with them. Saw her live in March '22 and it was a small venue, she was partying with us.

I believe that there is no wiser 25 year old on the planet than Aurora, with her special vision of what both life is and should be.This is the forest where Aurora played in her childhood. Other stand out parts of this concert are the opening with "The River" and "The Seed" which was made for this setting. LOL You said "never stop dreaming" That is what she said in Norwegian at the start. (well almost she said "don't forget to dream big" but the same meaning!!) I have to say sorry to you.... Once I saw the thumbnail of the first reaction you did on Aurora, I thought you would never understand Aurora's music. It's imprinted in a lot of us, the way you look.. You have the classic bad guy look(that we see from cartoons and movies from young). Dark, 3 day beard, etc. But you crushed that first impression I had from the start. You let her music come in and make you feel it. You are quickly becoming my favorite reactor. Keep up the good work, and again sry for my hasty thought on you :)

I don't know if anyone said that on the Nightwish reactions, but I think Tuomas often writes about a Boy - which I always thought of as the child in oneself. I think it refers to the same concept. Also, I think Music is the last kind of Magic we have left. Maybe along with love, which feels like magic, too. But Aurora is totally magic. Since I first heard/seen her i imagine she is kind of like a Fairy who crossed over from another Dimension to teach us the lost ways. Sounds stupid? I don't care ;) Trying to keep the child alive.
