Aurora 88 is possibly my favorite fountain pen on the planet. I could say lots of things I love about the Aurora 88. I only wish it was a few grams heavier. Until recently, I owned ten 88s. Sold two, so down to eight of them now. In six separate nib sizes: F, M, Italic, Fine-Flex, Stub and Goccia. I have the light blue/white cracked ice Matera in this ‘city’ themed series of 88s. This Baia is beautiful. I especially love that Aurora did with this model series, what I have wished for all these years, i.e. the entire pen body, section and finials included, being of the identical color/finish, instead of the usual black resin ends and section. The pens are rather crazily priced in the U.S. (especially) and even most retailers in Europe. I bought the Matera for $716 from Iguanasell in Spain. No taxes or shipping fees. Received pen in hand within two days. Couldn’t be happier about that.

Aurora nibs are the smoothest in the world. Additionally, their pens are well balanced in the hand, not ‘top heavy’, and easy to grip.

If Aurora did one in green you’d have a nice pair. Flex calligraphy? Oblique Broad also sounds good. Feedback gives the writing experience some grit. I like Lamy’s Kanji nibs for that.

Aurora has this uncanny ability to come up with limited editions of the same "base" pen. Certainly the materials are stunning but maybe they could limit the number. Thanks for the very useful review.

Limiting the number to far fewer than they usually do is something I’d like very much. Maybe, limited to 88 pieces would be ideal.

absolutely love the looks of this pen and nibs with feedback are right up my street: will definitely eventually be buying an Aurora 88 but the price is quite steep!:)

It may actually be a double broad, since Aurora's double broads are rather stubby and often have sort of a hammerhead shark look to them.
