To really understand her journey and what she's overcome to be the artist she is today you must watch the 'Once Aurora' documentary...shows her struggles to perform in front of people and to overcome her difficulties of interacting with people which she has done incredibly. Also this performance you just watched shows how much she's mastered the English language since. There are so many great videos of her just showing her funny, quirky self...I must have a look at my collection and find one for you, she can be adorably hysterical.

Ive been on the Aurora journey this year. For me ive lost track with other artists for now because she touches your soul so much that theres no room for others just yet. Just watched the Once Aurora Docu parts 1-3. My word, what a behind the scenes journey that is. Phenominal

Oh goodie 😄.I rewatch this one quite often. Not very comfortable performing yet, but such a talent. Love the old small sets with her and Odd Martin on guitar/harmonies. One of my favorite stripped sets is the one she did Live From COP26. 8 songs, so longer than this one. She writes all of her songs, but she have co-writers occasionally. Odd Martin Skålnes playing here is listed as the co-writer of "Murder Song".

It’s magic. But it’s always so with Aurora. These are all her own songs. There is an official video for runaway and running with the wolves. The last song was originally called “Hunting” but was changed for the release of the EP.

Nice reaction. Yes, young, raw Aurora, she was a nervous ball of energy, now she directs that energy into dancing on stage. Being an introvert, it was a challenge for her to perform in front of an audience, she stuck with it though and she seems much more at ease on stage now. I love that you noticed the howling of the word wolf, so few comment on that, she is a genius in many ways besides lyrics. Thanks.
@JusJrdnАй бұрын
Thank you 🫡 It’s been incredible to experience her music, and yes to go back and watch her young and still growing it’s amazing to see the growth, but also the amazing raw talent that’s still there And yes!!! The howling is GENIUS

@JusJrdn yes, just type in Aurora singing live from her home piano. All kinds of things lol up. She is SOOOOO real, funny, amazing and humble. She discovered swear words in English, and will F bomb stuff and it's so cute and real. Yu just get sucked into her own healing and goofy humbleness which makes a person forget their own emotional sadness for a bit. She is therapy incarnated
@Lue.llllllllllllllllllАй бұрын
@@JusJrdn ugh, I was wrong about how to type it in. Sorry about that. It's Aurora Quarantine live stream. She is singing and just talking and being her goofy self during the COVID lock down. Bunch of little live things she did then to support her fans. I think yu will enjoy them . Yu get to see the real her, no INDUSTRY telling her how to behave. What Yu interestingly find out if yu dove even deeper with the documentaries where Yu see her on tour, in her early years, is that she begins to show her disdain for the Industry telling her what to do, what songs she HAS to perform and she is one tough wee cookie telling them where they can literally shove it. Lol. But then she does soften a bit too. She had a breaking point Yu see in one of the documentaries that she JUST couldn't take the nonstop touring and she literally had panic attacks and her agent finally said...enuff, time to go home and heal...she hugged him and RUNAWAY to her home because she couldn't take it anymore. Her mama and papa are SOOO supportive of her, folded her back in to their home and helped find her ground again and then she began to write more music and went out and toured again. The whole interesting thing about her tho, is that she really never wanted to be a famous star, it's just all about the music, the art, the healing...When yu watch her early touring shows and she sings Runaway, Yu can see that her real emotion of being overwhelmed and ready to give up, is actually real, because it is is..she got sick during touring, sang thru having a cold, the flu, she ended up in hospital amd back out, to tour and then like I said, she was sent home finally by her agent to heal. It's also noteworthy to understand her better with her honesty and logic than she is autistic, or on the spectrum or as she calls herself NeuroDivrergent. Which if Yu are on that spectrum, yu fully get all her quirkiness and there's the healing. I am on the spectrum, autism and fully get her, she makes sense to me. Anywho. Sorry about telling you the wrong words to type in and sorry for over commenting. I really really love your channel and rap, I feel like you fully appreciate her music for what it is and how she is. I meant it when I said You and Aurora should do a Collab. I could see her singing and you doing a rap overlay and it would be AWESOME. I know she is touring, but it wouldn't hurt to try to reach out. Since Yu are an artist I bet she would, or hope she would. Good luck and keep being awesome like Yu are. Yu bring me up, when I feel down, so thank you. Peace.

an intrinsic motivated pick, it shows a bit of your commitment. thanks for it. i also like this concert. do you like to see her first tv performance? it's a song called 'awakening', you will find it by the title 'Aurora Aksnes - Awakening (Live on TV in Hamar, Norway 2014)' , she is even younger there. probably 1/2 a year after the first band formed.

This is one of my favourite performances by AURORA and one of first videos of her that I saw, some 4 years ago. At that young age (she must have been 19 or maybe even 18 during this performance) she was soooo nervous and soooo shy, but already such a great singer. And great to see how Odd Martin (the guitar player and co-producer of her debut album) is looking after her, asking "You okay?" right before starting Running With The Wolves.

For another great live performance by Aurora I would recommend her 2020 performance at the Verftet Online Music Festival. It's a performance that isn't mentioned much, but it is absolutely brilliant, especially her rendition of "A different kind of human".
@fredk3710Ай бұрын
AURORA didn't sing "A different kind of human" at the Verftet Online Music Festival. I think you are reffering to "Somewhere Else Festival", the show that was filmed in the empty theatre. Both shows were filmed in the same time of year, during the very first Covid-19 lockdown in late March / early April 2020.

I don't mind that much when reactors add comments over the actual performance? But I think you are taking thar a little too far and it's distracting? I might of seen this Aurora performance before or never? Would like to hear it a bit more generally. You're a decent reactor just some hopefully positive feed back? Just leave more of your thought to the outro?
