Aurora pictures - May 10th, 2024 near Montreal

A video montage of pictures I took during the big solar storm which occurred on May 10th, 2024. All pictures were taken in Rigaud, Quebec, Canada which is about 50km west of Montreal. As this was my first time taking pictures of the Aurora, I had to experiment with different camera settings. Some pictures are longer exposures than others. Which is why there are star trails in some of the pictures. In others, I digitally removed the star trails so the focus is just on the Auroras. Unfortunately, my tri-pod wasn't as stable as I thought so some pictures are a bit blurry. But the colour range on this Aurora display was amazing. From deep red, to light green with purple and pink hues. It's no wonder this is one of the Earth's great natural wonders.
