Aksel!! I discovered him before discovering Aurora - both complete musical treasures. I love seeing Aurora enjoy that clip. She showed pretty much the same reaction I have to his singing...as well as to her singing! Aksel did win musician of the year in 2016 - for youth...not the same prize being referred to here.

I don't understand the music business. I'm surprised that Aurora had to use her prize money to record her album and to pay her band. What do the record companies pay for? It must all be very complicated.

Record companies are sneaky like that. Many artists have to pay to record their music in the studio. The only way artists make money is if their songs do really well, and their managers make sure they are getting a fair amount of money. But I find it odd Aurora had to pay her band herself with the scholarship. Normally management provides that.

as someone who is a working artist in the making You can get payment from record labels , however its best to use your own money because they give you investments for your music and if you dont make the same amount of money back over in sales, you have to pay the record label back everything they gave you. and the usual starting amount is 10k-1m

This is very weird. I have an attraction to Aurora similar to the Greek Siren. She is very charismatic so innocent, child like, funny, intelligent and with wisdom. By the way she is very talented to write great altruistic lyrics with original melodies. She does have a high IQ as per Mensa standards.
