This song they're talking about, The Woman I Am, has REALLY grown on me. On first listen I just thought it was ok....just a pretty good pop song. But that's about it. Now....after at least 50 listens, and seeing the Gullruten and Vevo performances of it, I'm so hooked. It's SUCH a good song. Musically it's really neat...lots of cool syncopation, a simple but gorgeous chord loop, that super cathartic "ee ee ee ee eeyah" vocal motif, and just powerful lyrics all around. It's what a great pop song should be. Very catchy, transcendant, full of ear candy, but with layers of complexity that merit lots of listens. I'm very curious to see where she goes next musically....given the most recent stuff she's released. Giving Into The Love was the last song she wrote for TGWCT, and it's my favorite off that album. Then.....The Woman I Am came out, and as I said above...it's perfect. THEN....a demo song from those same sessions leaked recently, called Wake Up....and it honestly might be my favorite song she's ever made. It's short....way too short, being a demo and all. But it's ridiculously good. It has a perfect balance of melancholy and hope....which all the best Aurora songs have. And musically there's a ton I could gush about. So....given those are _the_ most recent songs from Aurora...I'm quite excited about whatever she does next. Because as much as I love all her previous albums....I think she might be entering a new stage of creative potency that rivals anything she's done before. Cannot wait.....!

I didn't notice too much of that. Besides, Aurora can hold her own in a conversation and speak up without being talked over. Plus....it's not like this is some in-depth hour long interview. It's just one of those rapid fire morning radio segments that rush by. Still tho....I get it, my ideal Aurora interview would last 5 hours and consist of Aurora talking 95% of the time. ;P

Some tracks are encouraged by the record company because they are more commercial. Aurora prefers her own music because she is proud of her music and not so much from some suggested by the record company.
