I would say besides my faith to the Lord , Aurora and her music lead me to a different path that very first moment I discovered and listened to her lyrics and her voice... I was going through depression and grief after losing my sister , father then mother ,two deaths same year few months later my mother passed away too , she suffered depression too and terrible loss heartbreak.. I'm so thankful for Aurora 💐🥹💓💓💓

You absolutely nailed it. One of her main attributes that allows her to be completely enveloped in her music is the fact that she is never embarrassed. Ever. Because, as she puts it, “there is no point to it”. She is 100% unapologetic in her art.

Greetings from Scotland! Ahhh, the OTHER unique singer that I class as one of the most unique singers in the world! Aurora sees everything completely different than the rest of us mere humans! IF we were able to perceive the world as Aurora does, it would be a very different world that we would be living in now! Every word, every syllable is packed full of emotion in her songs! Impossible to hold back tears when she sings like this! You feel the pain of the whole world in her voice! An incredible sensitive human.

@@brainypeas51 My sentiments exactly! Aurora is a very, very special singer, true! But what really makes her SO different is her incredible personality and the huge rapport she has with her audience and people generally! The two amazing qualities combine to make something that is absolutely irresistible to any age, any sex in any country in the world! IF Aurora was ever to go into the diplomatic service - what a difference she could make in this world! A force to be reckoned with!

Experiencing music internally is something I always tended to do in private, growing up in an abusive home I learned to keep what was happening inside to myself. It's such a vulnerable moment to put yourself fully in the music. I think that's why I've gotten hooked on certain reaction videos from people who are really feeling the music, it feels like I'm making a positive connection, if that makes sense.
@rosalieelliottofficial
@rosalieelliottofficial 2 жыл бұрын
Yes it makes a lot of sense. And I appreciate you sharing that as I’ve been intrigued by the psychology behind reaction videos. I can relate to your comment about growing up in an abusive home and feeling safer with my emotions by myself tho I find some comfort in processing them around a few select people at times. It’s hard to be vulnerable and music is a very intimate thing. Too deep to express sometimes. To be honest sometimes it’s a bit easier to be emotional behind the scenes to strangers on the internet (letting people in only so far however) than it is to those who are close. At least so I’ve found. But because there are still watching eyes, it takes wisdom how to say what. Finding that balance between being vulnerable but also providing info, quality content etc.

Personally, I would rather be taught by the song or the lyrics rather than the explanation behind the piece or the lyric and why it came out that way. I listen for the soul connection with music. Myself, being a musician, I write from my heart and soul. I leave the interpretation to the listener. If you don't like it, that's fine. But it's my music and it moved me at the moment when I wrote it. Aurora has moved me like few others have. Whether it's her lyrics or her voice, she's found that spot in so many people's soul. And for that, I thank her! She's a once in a lifetime talent!

Now, this is what I call a reaction! I am happy that you found Aurora and I think you are a great reactor to her work, because practically all her songs have a deep meaning and address important issues and problems in the world. And she has a lot to say, more than 100 songs she already wrote down. She is the perfect messenger and she cares about all of us - she is very concerned about mother earth and it´s people, but puts hope in the younger generation. A different kind of human, very empathic and direct. A little wood elf, bound in nature. Art is what you will discover on the path ahead, and I wish you a beautiful journey diving into this rabbit-hole.

Her fans are called warriors and weirdos because of her nordic origin and primal connection to nature and her self proclaimed weirdness. She's actually a very sweet and goofy and geeky person off stage and a very ancient soul tied to the music when performing. She's simply amazing. The little fairy from the land of Os ... Literally, the Os mountains in Norway. This was Aurora at her most serious, when NRK came to her about a concert in Trondheim Cathedral, the traditional venue where kings of Norway are crowned no less, she was in awe, and swore to be as reverential as possible. When she sings like this she goes to some other place, she is not with us, she is with the music. You could see it here, the song ends and Aurora looks out and tries to figure out what happened. In small venues she is very different, funny, zany, engaged with the crowd. She looses layers of clothing, the shoes go, she did this concert in her socks, but still that crystalline voice, and her wonderful songs. Start importing water from Norway, clearly there is something going on`

Really great reaction and very interesting comments. Of course Aurora is true artist and very interesting personality too. This particular performance is magical (as a whole 1h concert). Hope for more reaction for her music in a future. I would recommend to check Lucky from the same concert (she started wrote this song at a age of 9) and then f.e. "All Is Soft Inside" and "Churchyard" live from KEXP 2018 and "It Happened Quiet" live from the Current. And there are so many more great song/performances it is even hard to rank them for me :).

So glad you started with Aurora reactions. I have never been "into" music, but first time I heard Aurora, I felt the music inside. She brought out emotions I didnt even know music could do. It will be so interesting to hear your thoughts on why her music has that amazing effect. I'm not going to recommend any songs because whatever you choose...it's gonna be good. But I will recommend watching/reacting to the HAIK documentary. From a psychological perspective you get to understand a little bit of who she is. She even talks about being labelled autistic, which to me explains how she puts so much emotion into her music. It's just the way she is built... thx for reaction. Can't wait for more Aurora.

Awesome reaction! I posted a reply earlier but it got deleted for some reason. I hope you will do more reactions to Aurora. She is a beautiful soul. So caring and loving to everyone. You should do a reaction to her video "Queendom". It says a lot about who she is, and how much she care about her "weirdo's and warriors", and just people in general. Also her video "The river" She IS better live, but those video's is a must in my opinion.

She is one of the very few exceptions when it comes to pop music. Aurora weaves us through a dreamscape of emotional discovery like nobody else can do. That's what forms her uniqueness. There's only one artist that comes close to touching her ethereal quality and that is Ireland's Enya. Add her lyrical body movement to the mix and we have a sensational artist capable of conveying the emotional intent of the music. BTW, Aurora is in fact a professionally trained dancer. She has also stated that she would love to earn a black belt in Karate. To watch this tiny peaceful lady give a bully their come-uppins would be something to see. A further look at her flare for the dramatic can be found in her cover of Leonard Cohen's Famous Blue Raincoat. It's surely one of her best.

Nadia Boulanger, a great music teacher (counting several generations of composers among her 1,200 students, such as Aaron Copland, George Gershwin, Leonard Bernstein, Michel Legrand, Lalo Schifrin, Quincy Jones and Philip Glass) told Quincy Jones "Your music can never be more or less than you are as a human being". For Aurora, her music and her humanity reach the heights.

Aurora is fantastic , im seeing her live in November❤ Kalandra is another Norwegian band with a female singer who I think sounds a lot like Aurora . Check out Grizly Man live. You will love it , trust me😊

Autora is the most pure and inspiring person in the world for me. Her fans, the “Warriors”, are mentioned in one of her songs called Queendom (which Music Video you should also check. It’s beyond beautiful and meaningful) loved your reaction :)

Thank you so much for sharing the Ted Talk. That is so true about how we decide if we like music within a few minutes. I LOVE discovering new music all the time. I do have a “type” of music I instantly love and Aurora does not fit into category. Had my first experience with hearing Aurora was just audio I would have dismissed her. The element that made the difference for me was I first heard Aurora watching one of her official music videos. The experience of hearing and seeing at the same time made it so much more emotional for me. Then as I did research about her and listened to more of her music I felt connected to her on so many levels. If you do decide to dive into the depths of Aurora as I have you will find she is an old soul who has been here many times with a mission and she has succeeded

thank you for your comment. :) good point! I think sometimes audio only, versus audio and visuals etc. really affect the experience, and then you add different personalities and styles of learning. It's fascinating. :)

My friends often ask me what is my favourite Aurora song,I smile and say the next one,for her songs are that good,her songs are her little children and she loves them in the same way you would love your own child. She cares so deeply about them and it’s born out in her performances, I can honestly say that I can’t think of anyone else who gives so much of herself in a live performance.she simply is the essence of what the art of music should be all about seriously Aurora is a special artist, the honesty and depth of her songwriting from the age of 9 is unbelievable but more important is her humility especially towards her warriors her fans who she loves deeply for she knows how much they love her for her words have helped many of them myself being one of them,yes we are truly blessed to have her children her music in our lives.Aurora our Genius we love you ❤️🍎❤️🍎❤️

It amazes me how she can say so much by saying so little. I have seen many reactors brought to tears by this performance, me included the first time I heard it.
Thank you mommy 😊💝 #shorts
